On night two of the Republican National Convention, Fox News Channel was once again the network more people went to to get their political fix. That said, every network was down substantially from the same night in 2008, when Sarah Palin made her RNC debut.

I like Palin, but Ryan is a hundred times better, and he won’t be nearly the lightning rod that Palin was.

Totally agree. I wanted himany monyjs ago to go for the top spot.

After that healthcare summit with Obama back before the bill was crammed through, Ryan was the first person Obama went to after the summit. I knew then that Obama saw him as a frightening opponent. Why? Because Ryan is what he wished he was. Real!

The vitriol and name calling directed at a Republican by some of the ABR people on here is as bad as anything I have ever read over at DU.

Plus, think about it. What is to stop some of the DUmmies from coming over here, posting the nastiest, most insulting things imaginable about Romney on this board and then claiming they are doing it because he is pro-abortion?

Answer: Nothing, and that is exactly what is going on with at least some of these posts.

My strong preference would be that even if you hate Romney, you at least be somewhat respectful towards him on here. Disagree with him. Blast his liberal policies (there are a lot of them), but don’t just come on here and blast away full force with every derogatory insult imaginable.

Not my board and not my rules, obviously, but I think it would do far less damage in the long run, and it would make it much easier to separate the liberal disruptors from the genuinely concerned patriots.

As Rummy said, “You don’t go into battle with the Army you want, but with the Army you have.”

Obama and the dems continue to be delighted reading the posts of just a handful of ‘conservatives’ who are here, day and night, trashing Romney/Ryan and the republicans are a daily basis.

If I hated something or someone as much as they do, I don’t think I would be posting that hate constantly, but then, that’s me.

Romney/Ryan.

Phony post in every way, I am a very good troll spotter and I don’t see any new DU posers criticizing Romney’s famous liberalism, I do see well known conservative posters critical of his liberalism and shocked that he has returned to his pro-abortion position.

I also see a lot of new liberal sounding sign-ups that sound pleased as punch that they are defeating the conservatives with Romney.

The word “hate” is a DU word, the left uses it constantly, I notice you do that, a lot.

My posts are almost always very clear on Romney, so you must not be reading them, my post to you was #101, information that you did not know, not merely an “insult”.

I am watching C-Span. Fox keeps taking time away from the speakers to let the talking heads tell you what you just heard.

“I think by the time she spoke at the RNC convention it was already known that her trashy teenage daughter was knocked up out of marriage.”

I disagree with one part of your statement The “I think” part is inappropriate.

Judging from the quality of your comment, I doubt you have ever had a cogent thought in your life. But, I am willing to change my mind if you ever decide to “think”.

Hate looks really ugly on you. Might try another approach, you need a makeover.

There may be other reasons for this disparity. This year the 1st 2 nights were equal at about 20 million viewers. Last year night 2 featured Sarah Palin who hit the scene like a bombshell and caused much (deserved) excitement.

This year there was no such bombshell as Romney’s VP choice had been a matter of speculation and as such was not much of a surprise.

Consider this. Palin literally exploded on the scene as was a totally unexpected choice for the VP slot while Ryan had his name mentioned for weeks if not months as a possible VP choice.

This year the number of people watching was equal for nights 1 & 2 while in 2008 due to Palin the audience doubled. I would be interested in seeing what the 3rd night viewer numbers are this year versus 2008.
