Is the Christian Right poised to re-elect Obama?
Tea Party Tribune ^ | 2012-08-29 10:12:50 | Ken Crow

Posted on 08/29/2012 5:59:53 PM PDT by tselatysr

He signed a bill that allows for the murder of babies for only $50! He believes that homosexuality is not a sin! He wrote and authored Obama-Care and hand delivered it to Barack Obama himself with instructions on how to shove it down the collective throat of America. He is a cult member and is on the side of Satan himself!

And this is only the beginning of what I am hearing from the Christian right, regarding Governor Mitt Romney or " Mittens " as they call him. Alright, I confess; I did stretch my blanket a bit on the hand delivered health-care bill. The rest is about 99% accurate. To make matters worse, it doesn't stop there.

America would be better off if Governor Romney loses to Obama to show America just how bad the Republican Party is. America is morally bankrupt and needs to suffer more to bring the nation back to God. These are probably my two favorite agenda's being pushed at present by a syndicated radio talk show host. And they are not alone in their sabotaging efforts to the Tea Party. The Ron Paul faithful are also causing a great deal of grief. Even after Governor Romney has been officially nominated, these loyal kool-aid drinkers of the Texas Congressman's idiocy spewing are still faithful and are still dedicated to wasting votes by writing him in. Why? To make a statement? To put on display to the world just how truly inept they are? Without question though, my absolute favorite quote by a Christian radio fellow from the upper mid-west was this. " God should allow for the defeat of Mitt Romney to show the world that Mormonism is a cult and not a Christian faith"!

Attention Christian Leaders and Radio Talk Show host! News Flash!

Allow me to explain just how critical this election is to you, your families and the rest of the nation!

I hear you! I hear your faith ( which I too hold ) and I hear your frustrations. I too desire a very Christian Conservative in the White House. If I could raise President Reagan and install him in the Oval Office, I would do so. If I could bring back President Lincoln, I would. BUT! Not only can I not do that, those are not my current choices. We currently have Governor Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama, those are our choices. Not my desired ones, but the ones that will be on the ballot. While Governor Romney was not my Christian Conservative Tea Party choice, he did in fact win the nomination. Now, let's be a bit open-minded for a moment.

WE KNOW for a fact that Barack Obama most probably is not even a Constitutionally qualified candidate. We know he has embraced the enemies of Christians and Jews on a global basis. We know he is crippling our ability to protect our borders. We know he is purposely overloading our government budgeting and economic systems to cause an economic collapse of our nation. We know he wrote, signed and endorsed a bill in Illinois that allows for the murder of babies up to the moment of actual birth. We know for a certain fact that he has signed Executive Orders that allow him to pretty much seize our nation and become a Martial Law dictator on a whim. We know for a fact that the truth behind his health-care is to seize 1/6th of the United States economy. We know for a fact that HE endorses and supports gay marriage. We know for a fact that he is allowing massive in-roads of Sharia Law into America. We know that he pay's off his union crony bosses with tax payer money, gives money to other countries to drill for oil, while shutting our oil industry down.

The bottom line and I could have kept going is this. We know that President Barack Obama is an enemy to America. There is now precious little doubt about that. Here is the thing about Governor Romney that I do not think you are grasping.

While he is in fact Mormon, that doesn't mean he is bad. The Book of Mormon is very clear on their belief's regarding America. They love America! While Mitt Romney might not be as far to the right as you desire, you must remember one very important aspect to him that Barack Obama doesn't possess. GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY loves America, Obama doesn't!

My Christian right friends; We must get rid of Obama. That is the bottom line. And with you on the radio espousing all this hatred for Romney, you are not helping to do that. You're in effect enabling Obama to retain the White House. Remember what 1st JOHN say's. If you are not for me, then your against me. You are in fact assisting this Muslim Marxist wanna be dictator to retain his power to do very real damage to our churches, families, embolden bigger government, seize more wealth and even finance groups in the Middle East that seek to kill us.

I would encourage you to stop this diatribe against Romney. I realize you wanted someone more conservative, but at present that is not the case. Remember this; If we have no America, we will not be able to send that candidate up that we all seek in the future. Because my friends; That is exactly what is at stake. When you and the Paul Bot's all decide to write in that candidate, it is in fact a vote for Barack Obama.

When you have power then you can chip away on the social issues but do NOT campaign on them.

I married a Canadian and spend plenty of time there.

The political dynamic is MUCH different, as social lefties in Ontario, Quebec and B.C. swamp the better parts of Canada.

In many areas, a conservative MUST make it clear that he is a social conservative in order to win. The Reagan Democrats of 1980 did just that. I know a number of blue collar families who couldn't stand George Bush the Elder, but held their noses because he campaigned as a pro-lifer.

In the states, even Bernie Sanders, the SOCIALIST Senator from Vermont follows the NRA line on guns. The folks a few miles north couldn't even imagine doing so.

We are NOT a parliamentary system, and parties are not recognized in the U.S. Constitution. These things give us a unique fabric.

By the way, in the last election in Alberta, Danielle Smith completely blew a BIG lead for the Wildrose Party by going left on abortion and the homosexual agenda.

Conservatives know it is NOT just about the money. When the Republicans pretend that it is, they give us Bob Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney. Romney will probably win, and then he will leave mold the Republican Party in this country along the same lines as he did in Massachusetts, leaving it a smouldering pile of ruins.

My province is Saskatchewan and I have lived most of my life under the jackboot of the Godless socialists and in a poor province . A little over 4 years ago we finally got a conservative busines friendly government and we have had nothing but economic growth since. We have effectively full employment through this economic downturn ,population growth and
Increased opportunity.

HillaryRomney is in there for one reason, to bailout the Exempt Ones, who refuse to sleep in the bed they made themselves, while attempting to force everyone else but themselves in.

It’s no mistake that there is very little, if none at all, push that everyone is going to get an Exemption. Instead an insidious deception “replacement” , and not exemptions for all WE THE PEOPLE.

"For the general, everyone must pull together and throw out the Marxist for the good of the country."

I'm going to throw out Obama and put in the Father of Obamacare and the Father of gay marriage? Why would I do that?

I have no intention of voting for either of those two. "For the good of the country."

The Republicans in the House and Senate are just going to have to stand up to Obama. They won't stand up to Romney.

This is America, if we supported you agenda of dropping social conservatism, then we become liberals, the left with better tax policy, no thanks.

I realize there are differences between a parliamentary and republican system. My family heritage has deep American roots going back before the civil war. I have a number of first cousins in the US.

25% of our members of parliament come from Quebec. Imagine if 25%
of your electoral college was elected by Frenchmen . Even with that disadvantage Prime Minister Harper won a majority and is slowly strangling the Liberal institutions which support the Left.

“I'd rather refocus my energies to attack Romney relentlessly if he embraces the ‘Ol’ Boy’ network.”

Look, my vote will be useless here in NH. NH is slated to vote for Obummer again and my vote won't count anyway, so I might as well vote for someone who aligns closest to my political views.

If Romney wins, do you really think that Romney will turn into a conservative or be pressured to run the country that way?

He didn't when he was Gov of Mass and he won't when President. Conservatives just got their asses thrown out of the convention with the rules change and will have no say in how gov’t will be run.

Bonehead will again be the Speaker and whats-his-face might be the Senate Majority leader. I don't think many here at FR believe with those two at the helm along with Romney will govern conservatively, but will compromise with the liberals in order to get a few kind words written about them in the NY Times or WP.

We are in a no-win situation.

While all is fair in politics and other forms of warfare, shaming and blaming people into voting for a candidate is about as weak and utterly shameless as it gets.

If Romney loses, if obama wins, it's because Romney and the GOPe couldn't convince enough voters he's better than obama and/or possibly ensure a fair election, but don't let that stop you from blaming voters for just not getting it.

The GOPe is just like obama, blaming everyone and everything but themselves, for their candidate, their record, and their party.

Alinsky here, Alinsky there, Alinsky tactics everywhere...well, FO! That blame and shame the voter shite doesn't work here. Losers.

Sell! Sell! SELL your candidate and your ideas or (you'll) go home.

I well remember the tastes great/less filling duel that went on between Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich partisans, for instance. When either one would have been more palatable to all than Mitt is. Mitt could have had a great place in a conservative administration (with a financially related appointment, say secretary of treasury) but now Mitt is heir apparent to the whole enchilada, social AND economic. Mainly, because the herd of cats never united on any of the more acceptable choices. Blame the GOPe and media all you want — they did not glue 90% of the electorate to their sofas during the primaries.

Ryan is almost through speaking. His entire solution to the economy is to reduce government spending, tax fairness, and reduce regulation.

That’s not what is wrong with the economy. They don’t have any more clue than Obama. Idiots. They are this election’s hope and change candidate. Change leadership and it’s got to get better. But a comprehensive plan they don’t have, because they haven’t identified what’s wrong. They think government overspending is the only economic problem.

Anything that eases the onerous hand of government upon a free enterprise system makes it easier for said system to do what it always has — accommodate the problem and find a way to recovery.

Mitt is less-lose. The golden chance — the primaries — is over. Well and truly fumbled.

You’ve grown a lot, now the conservative base are “puritanical know nothings here in FR” to you.

I am so glad not to be a member of Mitt Romney’s party, it seems like you guys are having issues.

reduce government spending, tax fairness, and reduce regulation

It's a good start. I suppose unlimited Keynesian borrowing and spending and confiscatory taxing of business, i.e., Obama's plan, is more desirable?

Yes, because the truth is just so inconvenient when you trying to elect a Pro-Abortion, Pro-Gay Agend, Big-Government Pretend Republican.

Oh, and I really enjoyed the fallacy of you being a Tea-Party member and using the thread-bare Chicken Little the world is ending excuse for violating all of our principles to elect someone who has nothing in common with conservatism.

Whoever wrote this sounds like a concern troll. They claim to be a Christian, but are using phrases like “The Christian right” and misrepresenting what the opposition of Romney is all about.
