Romney chose well with Paul Ryan. Had Romney gone with conventional wisdom and chose somebody “safe” like Portman or Pawlenty, it would have made for a lackluster, lifeless ticket. Nice guys but you all know the old saying about where nice guys finish.
Exactly, Paul Ryan stands for something and he has the ability to express it. We'll see that tonight.
Gov. Christie just nailed the reason why Ryan was the right choice: “He stands for something”. And the thing Ryan stands for, fiscal responsibility, is exactly what the nation needs most.
