Bishop E.W. Jackson is making a war cry: Let Gods people go!
Jackson, a Marine Corps veteran, graduate of Harvard Law School and adjunct professor of law, is echoing the words of Moses in a campaign to persuade Christians of all races that the time has come for a wholesale exodus of Christians from the Democrat Party.
The former candidate for U.S. Senate in Virginia points to what he calls the Democrat partys cult-like devotion to abortion; the rejection of the traditional biblical model of family; the hostility hurled at those who express a Christian viewpoint such as Chick-fil-A president and Chief Operating Officer Dan Cathy; the actions of organizations such as the ACLU and the Foundation For Freedom From Religion in suing cities and towns for displaying crosses at memorials or mentioning the name Jesus in prayer at official events.
Beyond all of this, Jackson says, Democrat operatives are also attacking Gabrielle Douglas, the 16-year old black American who won the 2012 gold medal in gymnastics. The accomplished young lady had the nerve to give glory to God for her win, Jackson says. This apparently offended liberals.
Case in point: Mary Elizabeth Williams, journalist for the progressive online magazine Salon.com, wrote, Ive often wondered what it is about Christians like Douglas that unnerves me so Douglas and her ilk seem to espouse a faith based on what is commonly referred to as The God of Parking Spaces.
Jackson, founder and president of STAND (Staying True to Americas National Destiny), responds: Progressives are indeed unnerved by devout Christians. Thats why they resort to ridicule, even of a 16-year-old Olympic medal winner. Williams says we worship The God of Parking Spaces, but I would prefer Gabbys God of grace and kindness to the leftists god of ridicule and persecution.
Our Heavenly Father loves us and helps those who are humble enough to ask Him.
Later this month when Democrats make same-sex marriage part of their official Party Platform, the former practicing attorney says they will be spitting in the face of every Bible-believing Christian in America: They will be saying, We dont care what you think, what you believe, or what the Bible or the God of the Bible says. We know better than God.
Jacksons message to Christians is, The Democrat Party has turned its back on Christians. It is time to turn our backs on the Democrat Party.
btt
Thank God for Bishop E.W. Jackson & so many other blacks who are standing up for religious beliefs & coming home to the party that they helped create.
I love that message and the fact that it’s not just directed at blacks.
Time to get real, here folks!!! With each Black American vote cast for Barack Hussein Obama, Black folks, by their own hand, are dooming themselves to poverty, poor education, little opportunity, and government “Obama” stash, economic slavery, not mention the tyranny and control of a facist/communist controlled government led by power hungry, evil, America hater Obama and his disgusting Democrat Party ilk!!! What a bunch of fools!!!
Whoa?! Is he going to speak at the RNC? If not then WHY THE HELL NOT?
The Democrat Party has turned its back on Christians. It is time to turn our backs on the Democrat Party.
That time has LONG passed...
Based on party platforms it’s clear to see:
God is NOT a Republican, but Satan is DEFINITELY a Democrat!
Good for him.
” Whoa?! Is he going to speak at the RNC? If not then WHY THE HELL NOT?”
Uh, did you fergit we are known as the Stupid Party?
It ain’t fer nuthin, bub : )
Frankly, I’m tired of sarcasm. We hear enough name calling without our side repeating the name-calling under the name of humor. Maybe I’m just a little exhausted by the constant name-calling of the dems.
Come out from among them!
Romney is as godless/'cult like' and pro abortion/same sex marriage as Obama.
Not to worry - all their complaining means squat. If they can’t handle truth what are they doing here?
I had the distinct honor and privilege of voting for Bishop Jackson in June for our U.S. Senate GOP primary in Virginia. I was hoping he’d get a chance to speak at the RNC convention. He should give the benediction on closing night and send them off on wings of eagles.
Bishop Jackson, himself a Marine veteran, should be given a place in any setting where the choice before us is presented to the nation.
As I posted on other threads, the people--all the people-- must be jolted into understanding the choice of 2012, for the immediate and long-term consequences are enormous, and time is short for a course correction.
We have the same choice which faced the colonists in 1776:
Liberty for ourselves and future generations
Or,
Slavery to coercive government power
This is the choice.
So-called "progressives" may frame the debate differently, they may use clever semantics to disguise and cloak the kind of "change" they advocate, and some may even fool themselves into believing that what they advocate is right.
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C. S. Lewis
In the end, however, their philosophy relies on coercive power by some imperfect human beings over other likewise imperfect beings.
The ideas of 1776 and 1787 were based on another powerful idea.
The same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe, the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God.- (John F. Kennedy - 1961 Inaugural)
"Ideas have consequences." - Weaver
One idea led to freedom, opportunity, productivity and plenty for more people than ever had been experienced in the history of civilization. That idea relied upon a Creator-people-government arrangement.
The "other" idea has failed in every society in which it has been implemented, because it relies on a government-over-people arrangement, with little or no regard or acknowledgement of the "Creator/Divine Providence/Supreme Judge of the World" affirmed in our Declaration of Independence from excessive government power.
"Tyranny is a poor provider. It knows neither how to accumulate, nor how to extract." -Edmund Burke
The RNC is too busy promoting Mormonism. Besides if this guy gets a good look at Romney's record he'll be calling for Christians to exodus both parties.
It’s not just the Stupid Party — it’s the Gutless Old Party. Some of these PUB congresscritters make me squirm with embarrassment and unease.
The GOP is the Godless Progressive Party.
