phathead - "I have no idea what you are talking about."
WWWTT - Gee. How'd I know? Jack Ryan was a Senatorial candidate in Illinois in 2004. His opponent was Barack Hussein Obama. Obama's team did the same thing to Jack Ryan that it's doing here. They whined and sniveled about all sorts of BS concerning Jack Ryan making one personal attack after another until such time that Jack Ryan dropped out of the race. Sound familiar? You are taking petty BS and trying to force a good man out of the race.
Anyway, because Jack Ryan dropped out with about 2 months left before the election the Republican's replacement (Alan Keyes) did not have enough time to launch a strong enough campaign to prevent obama from walking right into the Senate.
You assclowns here are now doing exactly the same thing.
By pressuring Akin to step down you are in essence handing the Senate seat to Mccaskill. You claim that Akin has "damaged" his candidacy by speaking the truth. You are insistent that he, like Jack Ryan, step down. I say you have a hidden agenda and it does not include having Conservatives gaining more seats on Capitol Hill.
Now do you know what I am talking about?
If not study a little history and learn how foolish it is to railroad good, decent, Conservative Christian men and women. Or..... Open your mind, read this thread and see what others are saying in support of Akin.
Just a thought.
I know who Jack Ryan is. Saying something really dumb (as Akin did) is nothing like having your opponent sue to get your divorce records unsealed and reveal embarrassing personal details. It's not even remotely analogous.
Like it or not, when you run for office, your job is to persuade people to vote for you. Akin, in this interview, certainly showed that he lacks that skill. His opponents' financial contributions to his campaign suggest that they probably already knew that.
You can scroll back up the thread and re-read my posts. I don't remember saying he should drop out. But Sarah Palin has, so I'm sure you think she's an "ass clown" dedicated to preventing conservative victories.
Personally, I am simply in stunned amazement that anybody could possibly think his performance in that interview was anything but a head-shaking embarrassment.
