BOX OFFICE: Anti-Obama Movie #1... Developing...
As former NYers, and residing in
CA for 43 years (and 2 other states before that) because of job transfers, we’ll stay and fight.
The county here is still regarded as conservative.
Naval Base Ventura County is 10 miles away.
One part was formerly called ‘Pt Mugu,’ a Naval Air Station. We all still call it that. A few miles away from there is Port Hueneme, the Seabee Base. Both bases bastions of conservatives, mixed in with their near-by towns.
Don’t like Jerry Brown, but this county is okay for now. We’ve got good Republican leadership in Ventura County. Don’t personally know of anyone exiting the area.
As is true in many places, it’s liberals around the big cities, but the outlying areas, not as much.
Thanks for the reminder : ) We have lived in 3 other states, and we’ll stay here.
re: leaving CA - -
Realize it’s popular to say that, but we know of no one leaving. Our area just got a new MAjor on and off ramp on the 101 Ventura Freeway. Anticipating more new housing. And better access to the university.
Last weekend people from all over flocked to the wonderful airshow hosted by the airport in the small city (yes, city) of Camarillo.
There is also a relatively new 4 year university on the outskirts of Camarillo.
The county is thriving in many areas.
Calif. has always been known to have a high standard of living, so what’s new?
You all stay where you want - we’ll take it here!
PS We are by no means ‘rich’ - neither are the neighbors.

Sorry all - for the triple posting.
You may know I have no idea, exactly, how it happened. Bezerko stuff was happening after I hit ‘Post.’
I live in Macomb too. Have you by any chance seen or heard of the DVD documentary "Agenda - Grinding America Down"? Surprisingly enough, it was shown at my neighbor's Catholic church and they purchased a copy of it.
2016 I believe was No.1 screen avg. last week, but No.13 in total take as it wasn't in wide release. I think Drudge must have the early numbers from Friday night. No idea if it will hold up through Sunday.
I had not. Will have to check it out. Thank you!
