Gunmen attack U.S. diplomatic vehicle in Mexico

(CNN) -- Unknown gunmen attacked an American diplomatic vehicle south of Mexico City, injuring three people, a Mexican military official told CNN Mexico.

The motive behind the attack on the U.S. vehicle, which was on a diplomatic mission, was not immediately known.

Gunmen inside what was described as a Mexican federal police vehicle fired upon a U.S. Embassy vehicle, said the official, who declined to be named for security reasons.

The Mexican official said three Mexican marines were injured in the shooting. However, there were conflicting reports. Some Mexican reports stated that two of the injured were Americans.

Boy do you have that wrong! Of coarse they’ve compromised more US officials than you can shake a stick at, just look at some of the stuff that’s happening and you can’t miss it. More than likely this is just one of the cartels sending a message to the US that they haven’t received all the guns that they paid for and that they should hurry it up a bit.

If I were Canada, I'd seal up the border with the US as tight as possible. Very difficult to do given the size, but once the drug runners get past the Mexican border, they've got a clear shot into Canada.

That would be difficult for several reasons...1) The US is Canada's largest trading partner and we're her largest trading partner.....2) An enormous portion of the oil we import comes from Canada....3) Canadian tourists spend billions and billions here every year.I can personally assure you that half the cars you see on the road in Florida in January have Canadian plates.And I'll wager that US tourists are important to *their* economy.
