I am sickened by the massive negative response on this site to Akin's remark.

Instead of trying to understand what he meant, the lynch mob has reacted just as we have been being conditioned to respond: on the basis of fear of not being politically correct and emotion.

We rail against the gop-e, but do the very thing we despise them for: put our finger in the political winds and triangulate the best direction. There's no principle in that - only political cowardice.

I'm afraid Ann Barnhardt is right - the United States no longer has a populace that can be self-ruled based on the U.S. Constitution - we as a nation are insufficiently moral.
