For anyone who doubted voter ID laws are intended to keep Obama supporters out of the voting booth, an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll is enlightening. The poll finds President Obama beating Mitt Romney among African-American voters – 94 percent to 0. These are the voters most likely to be prevented from casting ballots in states with voter ID laws. In Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, citizens must produce a government-issued photo ID before they cast a vote. People of color are more likely to be disenfranchised by these laws since they are less likely to have photo ID than the general population. Ohio tried to restrict voting hours in urban districts only, until a national outcry forced the state to back down.

Are they saying black voters are too stupid to get a photo ID if they don’t already have one?????
Maybe the NAACP or the Black Panthers should start an education effort to let people know they will need an ID to vote. They don’t seem to have any problem getting people registered to vote now they can help them get ID’s
The liberal media is being ridiculously racist when they strictly focus on black people in these stories. It’s like....well everyone can get voter ID’s except for really really old people and black people. What’s that saying? All these mea culpa’s have gotten old, especially when ID is literally required for everything nowadays.

All the NBC/WS Journal poll proves is that almost all fraudulent voters are Democrats.
They can’t, or won’t produce ID becuase they’re either illegl or stupid. Race has absolutely nothing to do with it.

We have an ID law here in Michigan too. Plus we’re now being asked to check a box confirming our citizenship.

Well, they’ve got two months to figure out how to get a photo ID. They better start doing some serious research on how it is done.
The laws just make cheating harder that’s all. Still, Obama’s Gay Marriage bid will do more to hurt him with black voters than anything the Republicans could do. I believe a lot of black will stay home on election day.
Precisely!! The fact that reducing voter fraud cuts into the Democrat vote is an indictment of Democrats, not Republicans.
“Disenfranchised” because you can’t produce the modt basic of IDs? How do you get disenfranchised for having to produce something even Obama requires at his events?
What about disenfranchising honest voters by allowing crooks to vote? What’s the greatest wrong?

While the author of this piece is SO concerned about these ID-less people being disenfranchised because they can’t prove they are who they say they are in order to vote, is he/she/it at all concerned over the fact that these same ID-less people also cannot cash checks, sign up for welfare, register for school, buy alcohol, rent an apartment, etc., etc.?
Or is the concern just a ruse because these supposed throngs of ID-less people are a pure fabrication invented for the purpose of trying to distract us from the fact that voter ID makes it that much harder to commit vote fraud?
how can anyone be 18 and over & not have a photo ID? the only excuse is that they are either too lazy or an illegal alien.
