MISSOURI: THE 'SHOW ME ANOTHER G.O.P. CANDIDATE' STATE
AnnCoulter.com ^ | August 22, 2012 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 08/23/2012 12:59:59 PM PDT by Clintonfatigued

Akin was not even the clear choice of conservatives. In the primary, John Brunner was endorsed by both Missouri Right to Life and the National Right to Life. Sarah Steelman was endorsed by Sarah Palin. Akin was endorsed by the Democratic Party.

The Democrats carefully nurtured Akin with millions of dollars in campaign money because he was the candidate they most wanted to run against. (Akin thinks all those Democrats voting for him in the primary merely shows that he's got tremendous crossover appeal!)

There's no rehabilitating this guy. It's a waste of money. His comments are going to cost Republicans an easy Senate seat in a moment of crisis for the nation. This one man's stubborn refusal to bow out could cost us control of the U.S. Senate, House seats in Missouri, Senate seats elsewhere and maybe even the White House itself.

Other than that, there's not all that much riding on this.

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

But this selfish man has decided to play a game of chicken with the Republican Party. He thinks that by stubbornly refusing to step aside, Republicans will be forced to give him money simply because they need that Senate seat.

Republicans should call his bluff. This is no time to be counting on people to check the FEC reports to see that the GOP has cut off his money.

“conservative” pundits fall into the Democrat propaganda machines diversion and distraction trap.”

Reality is a bitch isn’t it. Akin leaves the party heals.

“If he loses, it will be due to the likes of the surrender monkeys at this forum.”

Again, Jacquerie, safe position to hurdle insults.

Put your cards on the table, will he beat McCaskill or not? Everybody on here knows the facts. Is he going to beat McCaskill? If there are surrender monkeys out there so be it, that is the fact of the situation and they came to their decision from what Akin said not some MSM/Dem conspiracy.

In other words what we have now is the reality on the ground. So what is it going to be; will he beat her or not?

No stupidity is a bitch. Falling into your foes traps counts as a stupid move. "Conservatives" should be smarter then this. That they aren't is why they continually fall short election after election.

You all are so busy worrying about what the Dems are going to do you never spend any time thinking about what we are doing to them

Count your artistic product as in-kind contribution to McCaskill.

Since McCaskill and the Dems have spent so much money to help Akin, then one could argue I am supporting Akin.

So tell me how many voters will be classified as conservative in the general election? This will be a general election not a primary, so you are blaming conservatives for abandoning Akin, when in reality he drove away all the moderates and independents that were supporting him. His fault not us.

Helped a wounded warrior vs. leaving him to die alone? Where is the honor in this?

If he's a "wounded warrior" it's because he shot himself in the foot.

He's clearly an inept politician. He spouted off about a subject that is a notorious political minefield, and followed up his foolish rape comments with a bizarre interview on national radio.

Where's the honor in someone acting stupidly and then refusing to take responsibility for the wreckage they have caused?

Akin is now the poster boy for the Troglodyte Republican who is waging "War on Women". Scott Brown's opponent, Elizabeth Warren, has already launched an attack ad exploiting the Akin mess. Let's hope we don't lose any other seats thanks to Akin's hubris.

"Selfish Swine" sums him up quite well.

From an earlier thread, it appears Huckabee has doubled-down.

Akin at least appeared open to the idea of an exit in September when he appeared on Hannity Tuesday.

Well bless your heart, you go right ahead and let the Democrat propaganda machine tell you what to think. The rest of us have better things to do.

Do you know with 100% certainty that McKatKiller will beat Akin? All of the bickering about Akin dropping out is playing into the hands of the Dems. Akin is a true conservative, of the likes the GOPe hates because they are now the Dims. Soon enough you will see NO differnce in party but only the name.

“The rest of us have better things to do.”

And that would be insuring McCaskill wins re-election?

I’ll ask you a straight question, will Akin defeat McCaskill in Nov?

Straight up, we have all the facts on the table and you are asking us to support Akin. Is he going to win? Let us know so we can keep track of your prediction after the election.

Akin didn’t seem fazed by the Rasmussen poll. It seemed to just steel his spine more. He might fancy himself as David against Goliath.

You have got the stupid a$$ Republicans that led the fight to oust Akin. Again, the Republicans give cannon fodder to the Dims. Who side are the Republicans on anyway. They are arse kissers because they “want to be liked” and stay popular with the Dims.

Frankly, I find it rather disgusting to equate a politician with a warrior. When pols start giving their lives for their country I might change my mind. Until then, find a new metaphor. Like, it’s wrong to leave a high class whore without achieving orgasm.

Where is the honor of standing by someone whose views are not only small minded and ignorant, but also abhorrent to 90% of the country. Were the pubbies wrong to disavow David Dukes?

If there is wholesale vilification, it is because the man’s thinking is vile.

“Do you know with 100% certainty that McKatKiller will beat Akin?”

Unless McCaskill is caught embezzling a few million dollars from Medicare, yes I will put my prediction down as a sure loss.

He has no money! He will receive no money. It takes millions to run a senate campaign.

He just fell 20 pts in 5 days and McCaskill hasn’t even started campaigning yet.

As some one else said, “If he has to come out with a campaign ad saying he’s against rape, then its all over”

That is the reality of the situation.

Yep, Akin has no money and that does not help. The voters of Missouri are stupid and will vote for McKatKiller. Never mind the Republicans shot their mouths off in the press. All of this $hit makes me sick and if you dont think for one moment that McKatKiller doesnt want Akin to quit, then you are fooling yourself! By your deeds and actions you have helpe McKatKiller’s campaign.

“The voters of Missouri are stupid and will vote for McKatKiller.”

By your support of Akin, you assure me you really are not concerned with what we do here in Mo. She is at 48% against Akin right now, below 50%. Anyone who replaces Akin will easily defeat her.

If people would just stop giving Akin false hope, he would eventually realize his situation and withdraw.

So...what are they gonna do? Keep the one that guarantees a Dem will win (since he was handpicked and financed by them), or at least replace Akin with someone who MIGHT have a chance in hell of the Rs winning?

I know Missourians aren’t stupid...but the party sure seems to be!

'Coulter is not helping conservatism....'

HUH? ANN'S fans, like THE INESTIMABLE SARAH PALIN'S ARE LEGION...a couple of wrong headed dunderheads on our side who are too dumb to appreciate her genius notwithstanding....she's the best thing for conservatism since sliced pumpernickel.

Why?

BECAUSE SHE BRINGS IT. ...Read her 8 BEST SELLERS (make that nine including the one she's soon to release) and if you dont think they're great have someone explain them to you...

ANN COULTER: ...WHERE BEAUTY MEETS BRAINS MEETS GUTS MEETS LITERARY GENIUS...period!
