With every Republican and Conservative trashing this guy, what would you expect? You CAUSED this poll result!

It is an embarrassing and tragic thing to watch this mob mentality.

Ann Coulter: “.....Now I officially hate him.” Not Obama, but a principled, devout Christian, PRO LIFE, Conservative.

SHAME on you Ann and the rest of you haters.

Akin is radioactive. The commie press will repeat his insane remark 24 hours a day every day until he’s gone, using it to try and tar every other Republican in 2012 and to avoid having to report on the economy and Obama’s record in general. This is what the commie media have been waiting for: a way to define Republicans as extremist nut jobs, and Akin is their perfect storm. I don’t care who he is or what he stands for, Akin has simply got to go. Period.

It’s because the purity caucus has not finished preaching and dictating to rape victims yet. Besides, all those $3 akin donation checks have not cleared the bank yet either. /s

Here is the only card Akin has to play. Meet with the Central Committee, the group that would choose his replacement, and agree to get out if he can choose his replacement. If it were someone who was pro-life and had a chance to win, it is a deal both sides should make.

Sarah Steelman Gets Pro-Life Women’s Group’s Endorsement

Sarah Steelman, a pro-life candidate seeking to replace pro-abortion Senator Claire McCaskill in Missouri and help pro-life advocates retake the U.S. Senate, has received the endorsement of a national pro-life women’s group.

Today the Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, a national pro-life political action committee, announced its endorsement of Steelman.

“There could not be a more clear contrast between an authentic advocate for women like Sarah Steelman and EMILY’s List darling Senator Claire McCaskill,” said SBA List Candidate Fund President Marjorie Dannenfelser. “Having voted for everything from Obamacare to taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood, Senator McCaskill has failed miserably at representing the best interests of women.”

“Missouri women and families are hungry for a pro-life leader like Sarah Steelman,” continued Dannenfelser. “The SBA List Candidate Fund is proud to endorse her and we look forward to adding another pro-life woman to the U.S. Senate.”

Steelman represented Missouri’s 16th District as a state senator from 1998 until 2004. During her time in the state senate, Steelman had a 100 percent pro-life voting record and helped overturn former Governor Mel Carnahan’s veto of the Infant Protection Act. From 2004 to 2008, Steelman served as Missouri’s State Treasurer where she was responsible for more than $19 billion in annual revenue.

Since her election in 2007, Senator Claire McCaskill has voted against every pro-life bill in the U.S. Senate, earning a 0 percent rating with the National Right to Life Committee. Senator McCaskill has been endorsed by EMILY’s List.

Steelman will face Congressman Todd Akin (MO-02) and John Brunner in the Republican primary on August 7 and they hold pro-life positions as well.

Methodology
Rasmussen Reports determines its partisan weighting targets through a dynamic weighting system that takes into account the state’s voting history, national trends, and recent polling in a particular state or geographic area.

I just can't seem to find where the "weighting" stats are given.
Questions - 2012 Missouri Senate - August 22, 2012

With all of the hubbub over how skewed the sampling has been (the "weighting system" mentioned above) (Romney Up One Nationally in a D+6 CBS/New York Times Sample) you would think that such information would be pretty helpful right now and easy to find.
Was there a D+11 sample in this poll like in the infamous CBS poll?
The error due to sampling for results based on the entire sample could be plus or minus four percentage points.

This poll also says...
Margin of Sampling Error, +/- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence
So where's the sampling stats? Or do they not matter as long as it shows Akin losing?

The damage caused by Akin is done. The damage could have been contained if he had dropped out immediately, but now the Democrats are running ads featuring him and claiming Ryan shares his position (liars). The Rats plan to run with this from now until November.

Republicans need to go on offense on this and quit playing defense. Time to start Obama’s opposition to the BAIPA and support for live birth abortion back in their face.

We should be sending Scott Rasmussen a thank you note for taking this poll in such a timely fashion.

This is consistent with the PPP poll when that poll is corrected for the +9 oversample of Republicans.

Fret not, it's his divine destiny to be the nominee against McCaskill and a dozen or so Freepers are too happy join in the self-immolation rather than fight against McCaskill's sudden new inevitability.

Akin had better go and soon.

PREDICTION: On the morning of November 7, Claire McCaskill will be lionised by her fellow Dems as having saved Harry Reid’s/Hussein Obama’s sorry a$$es and preserved Obamacare...all for just $1.5M.

Thank you RNC and Karl Rove and the blasting the man has been getting 24/7 from the crazy media. Hope time works this out. People should be ashamed of how they have behaved over this. Never seen so much dumb down liberal way of thinking about a conservative. The hate may cause us the seat. Look in the mirror, is what I say.

OMG WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every day on here thread after thread on Akin. He’s not going to hurt any other Repub canidate running or the Romney/Ryan ticket since everyone under the sun has came out and denounced him. Okay so it sucks we lose a seat that was an easy win, big deal we’ll get it the next time.
Do you ever see the left hand wringing and going on and on attacking one of their own over a scandal? NO!
They let it go and cover and move on because they’re street fighters and know who to get their agenda through regardless of any obstacle.

Y’all need to let this Akin obsession go and let him die out there at the voting booth come November. Start focusing on getting other Senate and Congressional conservatives elected along with getting Ozero out of the Whitehouse.
Akin is going to stay ...the end. Why let him occupy all the conversation on the political front instead of just ignoring him and, going on to start focusing on other more important subjects...LIKE THE ECONOMY, OBAMACARE etc.

OK, then we’re stuck with Akin. So, he needs state where he got this idea of why he believed that you can’t get pregnant from forcible rape and say he made a mistake like any other human being. Then he needs to say that sometimes when you are morally outraged, such as when so many children are killed in the womb, that you may make statements that are morally outrageous.
