Latest model runs - weather underground graphic. Consensus seems to be all over New Orleans... however, some of the better models are those going further west (so fill up your cars with gas TODAY).
Worst case scenario for New Orleans is eye passage just to its west as storm surge would force the Miss. River backward and overflow Lake Ponch.

Here is a map of flood impact warning areas - released by the New Orleans NOAA office this morning. This underscores my last post about the NOLA 'worst-case' scenario.
Here's the link to the original source.

Flooding for New Orleans, low to none predicted (not stated is what happens if levees fail and pumps lose power, then its Katrina again).

Looks like it’s barely going to even make it to a Cat 1, if even that.

Did you all know there was no state between New Orleans and Mobile, AL?? It’s just one big land mass...
According to The Weather Channel...
And now, someone has even made a Facebook page for it...which of course makes it official.
Needless to say, Mississippians are pissed.

Hurricane hunters found a ragged eye earlier. Better just put some ice on it...

well this administration has cooked the books at most every other reporting agency - why not NOAA?
Here's a classless clip from Key West at the height of the "storm":
Hurricane obama passed through areas of the Keys leaving a path of total devastation. Waves crashing over the sea walls, drowning dogs, abandoned cars, downed billboards, people running in panic and flooded streets. Never before has such destruction been filmed.

I still think in the end it will be a Texas storm, it now seems to be moving more westerly than before.
To: dfwgator
We could still definitely use it in parts of the state, maybe officially put an end to this drought and get rid of all the water restrictions around here.
