#MOSen: moved the race to Likely Democrat. As long as Akin is running, it is unwinnable for Republicans. If he exits, it's back to Toss Up.

F’ing asshole. I hate Akin with a passion for being so selfish.
On the other hand, a potential hurricane may hit Tampa next week....so the GOP may have enough problems already during the convention.
Can anyone show me an electoral college scenario where Obama takes Missouri’s 10 electoral votes, yet still loses? Or where Claire McCaskill wins re-election, yet Harry Reid is no longer Senate Majority Leader? Didn’t think so.
we are also up by a couple points in Michigan. However, Mack is losing to Nelson by 7 in Fl.
If we can pick up WI, NB, ND, MI, VA, OH, and hold on to MA and assume ME is lost, then we would have 51.
The problem is that the Missouri race should be in the likely pickup column for the GOP, and this guy Akin just ruined it with his stupid comments, and then his refusal to get out.
This is Nevada 2010 all over again. In a contested, 3-way primary, the GOP manages to pick the one person who can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
That picture with caption says it all.
And who checks those Twit statements?
If it's a source shouldn't someone verify it?
So Twits can state any damned outrageous thing they wish and it's "a source"?
Good luck with that, I just read a Twit claiming Godzilla is decimating Uranus.
Must be true, huh? Watch out for those Twits, they will tear a big hole in Uranus.
Democrat pollster
MACK IS LOSING?
Wasn’t that a sure win?
I thought it was a sure win too.
What about Florida? Another poster on here said Nelson is winning by almost double digits....
Last polls from Rasmussen and SurveyUSA about a month agho had Mack up by 9 and 6, respectively. I highly doubt he’s lost about 15 points in that time.
Hmmm, okay, thank you Perdogg. I had not seen those. I still think Mack has a better than even chance, myself.
We’d have to have 51 if Obama wins re-election, but 50 will do if Romney wins.
Rasmussen has Mack -7 last Friday.
*Sigh*
I guess all we can hope for now is that the Democrats overplay their hand (as they often do) and drive sympathy votes to Akin.
correct. I still think we can get to 52 but it is going to take work.
Flip -
OH
WI
MI
NE
VA
ND
Hold - MA
Lose - ME
Maybe - FL
47 + 5 = 52
Don’t forget Montana (or did you mean MT instead of MI)?
Realclear Politics has 9 toss up states, 6 Dem and 3 Rep.
If all the “leaners” hold their places, we would need to win all 9 toss ups just to get to 50.
And that includes MO.
The only people who will buy into that crap are already voting for dems.
