Everyone has told him to go, so media can try to saddle all with Akin, but will not work.
Also, I don’t know replacing him with a different candidate necessarily saves the seat from McCaskill.
How about this - male candidates and officials from BOTH sides cease lecturing women on our breasts, our menses, and pregnancy?

The 'RATs will launch an attack on Akin unlike anything we've seen before. He will lose. Hope I'm wrong.
I did a quick check last night of the 6:30pm (ET) network news broadcasts (CBS, ABC, NBC) to see what stories they led off with:
NBC and CBS gleefully led off with the "outrageous" Akin statements. ABC led off with the story of the Republican Congressman (Yoder?) skinny-dipping in the Sea of Galilee, complete with many reverent images of Jesus by the Sea of Galilee.
"Special Report with Bret Baier" did their usual excellent fair and balanced coverage. They explained the Akin situation in a sensible way, and also ran a clip of Claire McCaskell saying she hopes Akin stays in the race ("He already apologized..."). She knows her chances vs. Akin just greatly improved.
Except for Fox News, I'm convinced "our side" will never have the luxury of receiving favorable coverage from the MSM.
Regardless of intent, the Akin damage is already done and Akin is toxic. No "apology" TV ad is going to do any good now.

This caller doesn’t get it. Akin didn’t make a mistake or misspoke. He showed us that he’s not up to date and stupid. He needs to leave.

Oh, I definitely know there's a big world outside of FR... especially over the past few months... actually over the past few years, dating back to 2007. I won't say anything more about that, other than I spend considerably less time on FR now than I used to years ago.
Ask just about any FReeper who has listened to Rush over the years. Rush has very often quoted - line for line - statements that have appeared on FR by FReepers, and essentially attributed these comments to himself. I don't remember the last time Rush gave anyone on FR credit for their original ideas and comments.
Regardless of how Rush uses FR for show prep at times, I still love him and listen to him just about every day. In the last 24 years, Rush's voice is still THE most important, IMO.
off topic, but I am POd beyond reason with this Fort Hood Muslim Murderers case being “delayed” because the SOB wont shave his beard! He is STILL in the US ARMY, and the ARMY I knew (before it became pussified and gay friendly) would have held that SOB down and shaved his head MONTAHS ago!
