In an older version of Windows e-mail; one could produce a document and then get the HTML source code of it.

the latest version does not appear to have that.

I now use htmldocedit. It does not have all the bells and whistles, but does have most common commands.

It's a bit roundabout, having to save into an HTML file and then open the file, copy & paste.  But maybe I'll get the hang of it.
