I agree. Their influence on our culture (and that of government schools) has produced an incredibly ignorant electorate that can be swayed by the latest soundbite. 'American Idol elects a President'. It's how Romney won the primary, so it needs to change in the future.
Train your kids with a “worldviewish” mindset so that they are immune to the messages from the media and the world in general.
Whenever an idea is presented to a young person trained this way, they immediately classify that idea based on the assumptions required to arrive at that conclusion. And when those assumptions are wrong, the idea is rejected.
If the media chose what to report fairly and how it reported those stories fairly, the “American Idol electorate” wouldn’t be a problem. I’m being serious.
The problem we have is that 90+% of what’s broadcast, printed, and typed tilts left. It’s so prevalent that even people who are not political tilt left on the issues because that viewpoint is what they see and hear wherever they go.
Think bout it this way: The North Koreans LITERALLY believed Kim Jong Il was a deity. A god walking amongst us. They were (are) spoon fed only information which reinforced that fact. Then, when he rails about how evil the US is and that NK is in danger of imminent attack, of course the people rise up behind him. All they know is what they are told.
It’s the same theory here and is exactly why we always hear about the Fairness Doctrine being ressurected in some form or another. Control the message and you control the population. The Left wants complete control. In order to accomplish that, they would have us hear nothing but their viewpoint.
Breaking that hold - the hold the Left has on the media - is more important than any election. If we could accomplish that, everything else would follow.
You’re saying that the schools were responsible for Romney’s win. Please explain how?
Barak Obama, mmmm, mmmm, mmmm.
Gingrich, the choice of many “conservatives,” would have been killed by the press for his divorces and such. Obama wins.
Palin, my choice, opted out. She now heads a group that will continue to weild political power.
Paul, unelectable.
Romney is what’s left. How we, the voters, manage matters is of utmost importance.
In order to win, Romney must do what Obama is NOW DOING, soft-pedaling his positions. Another term of Obama will be destructive for this (our = yours and mine) nation. Romney has to win votes of cross-overs and the uncommitted. THINK, MAN!
I didn’t get what I wanted. But I am going to work with it and make it the best possible. I’m no longer 13 years-old.
