FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. (KMOV) – Paramedics treated a server at a Red Lobster in Fairview Heights on Friday after a customer threw a water glass at her head.
It happened at the Red Lobster in the 110 block of Ludwig Drive around 2 p.m.
A witness said she saw three female customers get mad because the server was filling up their glasses with water too often.
According to the witness, as the server walked away one of them picked up a water glass and threw it, hitting the victim in the back of the head.
The witness said as the server turned around, the customer hit her in the face with one of the dessert books.
The server was treated by a paramedic, but did not go to the hospital and stayed at work.
Customers and restaurant employees made sure the women stayed put until police arrived. Officers then arrested the three suspects.
Police took the suspects into custody and said they were still trying to sort things out before deciding what charged will be filed.
The incident comes just six months after a cell phone video captured four female customers beating up a server at the same restaurant over what they deemed bad service.
In that incident, the victim ended up with cuts on her nose, a swollen eye and was forced to miss a few days of work.

My daughter’s best friend in high school was Black. Right now she is working as a server in a restaurant and she can’t stand serving black people because they treat her like dirt, like she is their slave and they never leave a decent tip. They complain about the food and the service and demand everything and they are never satisfied. A lot of the time they end up getting their meals for free because they know that if they claim to hate everything the restaurant will comp their meals.
Ever since Obama was elected it has gotten worse.
In many cases they are just there to make life miserable for the server in hopes that the server will do something that will give them grounds to sue the restaurant for discrimination.
I was not surprised that these hooligans were black. I knew it when I read the headline. I’m sure they are going to sue the restaurant for something. They will probably claim that the server spit in their food and that is why they threw the water. They will claim the server said some racially insensitive remark.

You can bet your bottom dollar that if the victim was Black and the attackers were White, this would be a hate crime. That’s why I asked the question.
Black women. Of course. Who else would do this? We know without even knowing. Despicable what our nation has become.

I was trying to be PC.
Usually I feel like calling the police to file a missing persons report for the waiter. What the hell is wrong with a person’s impulse control that they use violence to say, “no thank you. I don’t need water.”?
They're all just waiting for Ubama to give them the "go" sign.
Back when I lived in Fort Lauderdale there was a Red Lobster restaurant on North Federal Highway, in a very upscale neighborhood, that was heavily patronized by black folks. Every time I went easily two-thirds of the diners were black. I finally figured out that this was the closest Red Lobster to a rather, uh, pigmentally enhanced neighborhood a couple of miles north.
Funny thing is, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of seafood restaurants in South Florida and I never noticed any large percentage of people of color eating in any of them - only in Red Lobster.
I’ve been in the same situation. But I just thank them for their service and ask that we be left alone for a while. It works and everyone is happy.
