I do not know how to post pics here on FR, but check the link. That think looks like a real live coiled up python. You would not believe it's actually a birthday cake. What a stunning job by the artisans at the bakery!

The fact that the cake makers can do this is not a huge surprise — pretty much any shape can be made by starting with a series of stacked circular or rectangular cakes and carving them into the desired shape.
What makes this one remarkable is the precision and level of detail; the theory is simple, but the execution requires a lot of skill.
