The top commander of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, Gen. John Allen, said in response: "The pride of the Afghan people has been smeared by killers who pose as soldiers and police."

Allen is a sorry tool for the application of the most horrific strategy employed upon the history of warfare concerning a movement that refuses to assimilate, COIN. To continue this strategy is an example of conjuring up Benedict Arnold's spirit and fostering it upon the Generals and Commanders operating this "war" or whatever this is.

I don’t care about the “pride of the Afghan people,” I care about our dead servicemen, killed implementing a truly stupid policy ordered from above.

As for the Afghan people, their pride doesn’t seem to be very wounded and in fact they’re probably out there high-fiving each other in their hovels.
