Catch up! Comment # 63.
The cops claim that he identified himself. The family claims that he did not.
Note: Cops are allowed and encouraged to lie. Peasants are not.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Now, there's a knee-slapper!
A police mouthpiece claimed that the officer identified himself.
The police are allowed to lie to the peasantry. It's settled law. They could be lying about him IDing himself.
Not in Chicago, you won't - if you're a peasant.
Let's reverse the situation: A peasant lays down his motorcycle into a Chicago policeman's child, while the child is crossing the street with her 18-year-old cousin.
The cop checks things out, arcs out, and the cop and a buddy start beating on the peasant. IN CHICAGO.
The peasant draws a piece, and kills the cop.
The local prosecutor would file murder charges so fast he'd probably hurt himself.
George Zimmerman is a peasant, AND "Dick" Holder's people want him.
Zimmerman should change his name to "Jon Corzine" and claim "Right of Nobility"...
Yeah, I know. I saw that a bunch of people had already made the same point. Sorry.
He was 43 years old, not a 43 year veteran of the department.
He was injured and the father was punching him. Both men over-reacted.
Simply identifying himself as a cop doesnt give him a pass from anything.
It should have been enough to stop the distraught father from beating an injured man. By refusing to stop, the man, had he not been killed, would have been subject to an additional criminal charge of assaulting an officer. Being distraught doesn't give you a pass to beat anyone, especially a cop.
Cops are not special, even though they and the contingent of JBT-loving boot-lickers here on FR think they are. Let em eat donuts.
Your obvious hostility toward cops makes your argument a lot less persuasive. Put your animosity against the police aside for a moment and think about what happened. A 4-year-old runs into the road, as unsupervised little kids will do and the cop on his motorcycle lays it down in a desperate attempt to avoid hitting the child. He injures himself but goes to help the child. The father runs out of wherever he was and starts yelling and punching the cop. The cops tries to get him to back off by telling the father that he's a cop - to no avail. The cop then pulls out his gun and apparently this didn't faze the punching dad so the cop shoots the man and he dies. Tragic.
The child was apparently unsupervised, after being told he was a cop the father continued assaulting an officer, who was already injured from trying not to hit the child that ran in front of him and the cop used his gun to shoot - and kill - the father who was beating him. Yet it's the cops fault? Unless it can be shown that the cop was drunk or speeding or otherwise broke the law, I think not.
Well, he had shacked up with the "daughter's" mother for seven (7!) years, had another kid by her and had her knocked up again. But he was gonna marry her on 'Satidy'...
...so, bein' a bads@$$ dude an' kickin' the c__p out of an injured old Honky naturally took precedence over the life of his "fiancee's" kid...

What, no reply?!
What are you.. a Libertarian?!
I DO expect a reply to your disrespect towards police (and FReepers)..
I will say that there is a difference between UNION police and real Police... I will also say there is a BIG difference between city and county.. Also.. BIG difference between states..
I was a Deputy in a County in Texas... and that is a BIG... say again ... BIG difference between any union/city/state police from anywhere else in the USA.. notice, I didn’t PING anyone else..
You want to insult me... please give me your job description.. location...so I can claim the same abuse against people and families that you did to me (and many other FReepers).
BTW, in Texas, the deputies are the people you trust to take care of bad situations.... (AND.. NONE of us are UNION)...
sorry, still pissed off..
That is essentially what happened to Zimmerman.
Well, except for the 4-year-old's 18-year-old cousin, who was holding her hand and who was ALSO hit by the motorcycle.
As we saw before, the child WAS supervised, by her 18-year-old cousin, who was holding her hand and who was ALSO hit by the motorcycle.
The police mouthpiece claims that the officer identified himself. The family claims that he did not. Police are allowed to lie to the peasantry as a matter of course.
Yes. The father and his assistant should not have been beating on the injured motorcycle guy. That, I can agree with.
Perhaps if more people understood they were probably going to get Trayvonned when they pulled their fists out, we'd have a gentler society.
Of course, the Merkun Police State doesn't help things when they: A) prosecute guys like George Zimmerman and B) won't let peasant motorcycle guys carry in places like Chicago.
The child wasn’t dead, but instead of attending to her, the father chose to attack the cop.
Please, I know a few motorcycle cops.
They’re all daredevil-wannabes who rocket around weaving in and out of traffic on their bikes in complete disregard of speed limits.
BTW, some idiot on a bike hurts your kid and see how YOU react.
The First Amendment says I owe you NOTHING.
The days cops STOP raiding wrong addresses, shooting dogs, and arresting innocent citizens for nothing is the day I might consider an apology. Until then, fat chance.
Libertarian? Kinda....more so the older I get.
Oh.....I’m a concert pianist and a conductor.
Someone injures one of MINE and I may start swinging, too.
Cops lie, cops screw up, cops harass the law=abiding.
Screw ‘em
