LAKEWOOD, Colo--Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan took the stage before 2,600 supporters at Lakewood High School Tuesday to promote Mitt Romney's energy proposals, but he had another agenda.
Interlaced throughout his speech were subtle, but clear, references to Ryan's common-man appeal. Over the course of his nearly 20-minute address, Ryan discussed working at McDonald's, shelling out more than $100 at the pump to fill up his gas tank, camping and fishing with his family, climbing the Colorado "14'ers"--a reference to the state's mountain peaks above 14,000 feet--and that he recently taught his boys "how to cook a meal on the fire."

Wildly off-topic, but now that you mention Christine: Was that her standing next to Biden in 2016 Obama’s America in 2008? Anyone else notice?
The only cars he's been asscoiated with is one with Larry whatshisname and the 'choom' car - I doubt he knows how to drive.
When he got famous he didn't want to offend the other Libtards, he sold it and bought a Ford Escape (Hybrid I believe).
The old Hemi V-8 was 340 Horsepower than ran on Premium Gas and the Mileage sucked.
The V-6 is a good engine choice now and it runs on Regular.
I’m actually from CS but you can still spot an Obama lover from a mile away. Maybe all those Prius are from Denver or Boulder and just passing through!
El Paso County is still very very conservative.
I don’t think CO would be nearly as beautiful a place to live if I had the misfortune of living in Denver or Boulder!!!
Hard to say what Obama would`ve driven, but I`ll bet his fantasy vehicle would be a pink stretch Volvo.. driven by Reggie Love.
I found his outfit.
I need to respond about the “Subaru” being a lib car. Certainly, when payment was completed, I told the previous owner, “the first thing I’m going to do is remove that bomus biden sticker”. This led to road of recovery of a very fine automobile. Lafeyette Indiana,by Fuji Heavy Industries. With some work, this has been an amazing vehicle. My Wounded Warrior Project sticker replaces the lib crap.

>> Having a truck, yeah, that $100 to fill up? That resonates.
I still wonder how much $$$ it takes to fill my F350 (7.3L PowerStroke) with four dollar a gallon diesel.
I haven’t yet found the pump that’ll fill it from near empty before the credit card limit kicks in. :-( $125 is as high as I’ve gotten.
I’d bet he doesn’t even have a drivers license. Pretty hard to get without an authentic birth certificate. Have you ever seen him drive anything other than a golf cart?
Do either of the Obamas have a drivers’ license?
Nice ride. But you get better mileage with the mud fuel.
Probably not an El Camino
Or a Scion
I go to Boulder to visit my son and grandkids, and when I see the little cars plastered with leftist stickers I pull up beside them and laugh down at the driver from my V-10 F-350.
I think he just got chauffeured around in his friends bus which they called the ‘Choomwagon’.
Electors remorse is kicking in, what if they decide to dump Romney and pick Ryan to be the POTUS nominee?
Honestly my comment is to just kick sand in the faces of the few here at FR that insist we must vote for Romney...or else.
I am a V8 and diesel guy.. HP is what boys talk about, torque is what men use to get the job done ;) I am sure the it’s a decent combo.. I just don’t really like the looks of the car.
