What I called the Romney con is the culmination of the elitist factions strategy for using the GOP to carry American conservatives into oblivion. Apt word, oblivion; it means youre gone and soon forgotten. This aim of the RINO (now Romney) Republicans has been clear at least since March, 2009. Thats when an article in the Washington Times reported Jeb Bush as saying that its time for the Republican Party to give up its nostalgia for the heyday of the Reagan era. He suggested stealing the winning strategy deployed by the Democrats in the 2008 election.
What was that strategy? A successful bait and switch. The Democrats offered a hollow promise of change. Only after Obamas election did their actions make clear that the change they had in mind was to replace Americas constitutional republic with a socialist dictatorship of, by and for the elitists.
For this strategy to succeed the Democrats had to make sure voters didnt focus on Obamas record or background. This time around, the Romney Republicans face the same challenge. The hollow change they want voters to focus on is change from Obama. They have to make sure voters dont focus on the record of Romneys career. That record shows that what he and his RINO fellow travelers have in mind is just a somewhat less obtrusive version of the same socialist elite dictatorship.
Today Sarah Palin endorsed the Romney/Ryan ticket, fulfilling the judas goat role that I predicted in 2010. She was the main tar baby totes of alleged Tea Party outrage, meant to gather and hold as many as possible of the grassroots conservatives who are sick to death of GOP betrayals on every front. Her endorsement is one of the loud reports meant to stampede the GOPs grassroots herd behind the Romney/RINO ....ticket.

Alan Keyes is a loser —lost to Obama when running for the US Senate.
One of the local talk show hosts in Houston interviewed Keyes about 5 years ago and said never again. Keyes is a jerk and scammer!
Time to defeat the Kenyan communist and the Deleware knucklehead.
We miss Alan Keyes... the MSM -always- makes sure any conservative - specially a rare African-American one... is eliminated (Alan Keyes, Allen West, etc.)...
Alan is afraid Romney will do what he failed to do.
Certainly looks that way, considering Obama is the only alternative to Romney, as he well knows.
He sure has a nerve calling Palin, a patriot who loves her country, a "judas goat".
Anyone who favors reparations is no conservative in my book.
That election in Illinois happened to be an attempt to stop Barak Obama from getting into the senate. It was an open seat that Obama was able to successfully win because the original republican challenger had a scandal materialize due to democrats having Jack Ryan’s sealed divorce records become unsealed. No other republican in that state wanted to try to stop Obama. They even tried to get Dick Butkus to run against him but no deal.
Even though Keyes was not from that state, at least he recognized the danger and made an attempt to run against him. The limp wristed libs in the Illinois GOP could not be bothered and now Obama is president. It is almost as if there was some form of collusion between the parties in Illinois that helped Obama get in.
The cheap trick that was pulled is that the republicans let Obama in without a fight. They allowed him to become president without a real fight. I would watch Romney very closely. Alan Keyes is absolutely right about the republicans wanting to run an Obama-like campaign. They don’t want you to pay attention to the past — what was said or done. Just elect Romney and find out what he is going to do. It sounds eerily like Pelosi when she said, “You have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.” People foolish enough to fall for that — twice — deserve what they get.
I remember it well. You're certainly right about the first part.
Baloney. The only thing that will happen in zombie world will be that the toilet bowl will be bigger, there’ll be more turds and you’ll be lapping up the urine because the KoolAid will be gone.
Dayum, you've got a flair for words. That's about the best description of the liberal toady that I've seen in a long time.
That's a keeper. I guarantee you that half of these recently converted Romneybots will be quoting you within two years.
Wait...don’t tell me...Keyes is going to be real popular here for the next 3 months.
Keyes didn’t get Obama elected, the Illinois Republican party did that by not fighting the smears against Jack Ryan.
That’s simply false. I was there. I was present at Keyes events. The ones who got Obama elected were the Illinois Republican elites who stabbed him in the back, damned him with faint praise, refused to support him, left him twisting in the wind.
I’m no fan of Keyes today. He made some mistakes in that campaign. But the reason it was a blow-out was because the Illinois Republicrats wanted a blow-out rather than have Keyes win. He didn’t have much of a chance at any point, but he was backstabbed by his own party.
To accuse a good man of being evil because you disagree with his stands on the issue is what I expect from Alinsky-ite liberals, not conservatives. It is also a bald-faced lie (another classic Alinsy-ite tactic).
Been here since 2007, and you still have no earthly clue why any conservative with a backbone would have any problems with a man who supports gay 'marriage', abortion, TARP, gun grabs, higher taxes, and government-run health care?
Well, be gone with you then. You only think you're a conservative, but in reality, you're simply a GOP-e drone. Good riddance.
Lap this!

At least write an epic opus and post it.

Its all part of the grift. Keyes has made his living fleecing the naive and the delusional. He has found his perfect marks. Nobody is more vulnerable to the grift than those who see themselves as the pure. Set yourself up as their champion and you will never have to work for a living again. The grift doesn’t work if you are actually trying to win elections. No my friend, set yourself up to garner less than 1% of the vote, and the self righteous will shovel money at you. The last job Keyes had was like 30 years ago. Not a bad run, a three decade grift.
Too bad he appears to be using his skull as a hammer.
“The only evil I see is the twisted malignant hatred that seethes and roils through the once great FreeRepublic and in its owner.”
Romney has consistently supported Abortion and Homosexuality. If you cannot understand that is “evil”, then you are the one without “reason.”
“To accuse a good man of being evil because you disagree with his stands on the issue is what I expect from Alinsky-ite liberals, not conservatives. It is also a bald-faced lie (another classic Alinsy-ite tactic).”
He is being accused of what he has ACTUALLY done. It is not a mere disagreement over a “political” issue. To persons that are “pro-life” like Jim....abortion is murder. Romney is therefore a murderer....regardless of what the “law of the land” may be. Many believe, “one ought to obey God not man.” We believe God considers it murder, so do we. This isn’t, like I said, some mere/minor political disagreement. Romney is NOT pro-life, and he is pro homosexual agenda. Also, something extremely against Christian values.
No one is advocating Romney’s physical harm. Just that folks don’t give him there support. At the very least, folks on this forum should respect those of us, like Jim, that will not sell out our innate values on the altar of expediency. I, for one, will not compromise on these issues anymore. To let a Romney (with his record) be elected with my help just because he has an “R” behind his name...while the opposite side...Obama does the same things and has a “D” behind his name.
It is very obvious to me, that many here are just too hung up on “party loyalty” rather than what is morally right and wrong. Like I said, “we ought to obey God, not man.”
