It changes everything for me. It changes how I look at Mitt Romney.
This is a great pick.
I am very happy about Ryan VP.
Excellent post#20. It applies to more than one faux poster in FR. There are trolls afoot, my FRiend. Many trolls. And they are very busy. Probably getting paid by the hour by some lowly hack who reports directly to mooshell.
The fanatic, irrational Romney haters, will descend upon and foul your nest.
Didn't you know he's a Mormon, a marxist, a rino, and he is the moral equivalent of obama.
I just donated my standard 20.12 to Romney-Ryan hoping that they will dismember obama's four years of socialism.
No, it doesn’t. Romney sets the low standards.
Let’s get revolutionary here. If free republic was truly about conservative values and not just the economy, then why is the Constitution Party and Virgil Goode completely ignored? I live my life according to the next life. Seems that lots of people are exchanging their inheritance for a bowl of stew.
Any particular reason? Who is “someone else?” Putting that out there with no reason, and in addition not revealing your preference, makes you sound like a liberal troll.
I am voting against Zippy in November. That means a vote FOR Romney/Ryan - with the emphasis on the Ryan. (I don’t hate Romney. I just think he is too far left and not our best choice. If I go to a restaurant and my favorite dish is not on the menu, I pick what I like best among the choices. I don’t order my least favorite thing or let someone else choose for me.) Unless he picked Soros as a running mate, Romney would have my vote.
Romney was not my first choice, but I think Ryan was a great pick for VP. A bold move. An intelligent choice. It greatly increases my respect for Romney and my enthusiasm for the ticket.
...”I live my life according to the next life. Seems that lots of people are exchanging their inheritance for a bowl of stew”...
I am with you.
...”It changes everything for me. It changes how I look at Mitt Romney.

YES! I have been impressed with Paul Ryan since the first time I heard him speak. He will tell America the truth..He is a man of high intelligence, integrity, morality, has a beautiful family, is experienced, knows the Washington D.C. culture inside and out, he has courage and empathy for those who really need help, he does not survive through lies to his people, he is eloquent, and much, much more, AND, HE IS DROP-DEAD HANDSOME!
I don’t like Romney at all. I don’t like northeast liberals, no matter which party they claim to belong to. But I can’t imagine anyone worse for America than Obama and if he gets another four years, I shudder to think what will become of America. We will get to a point of no return. I am not happy with Romney as the nominee but I will vote for him. I love America more than I dislike Romney.
Love them or hate them, one thing you have to say about the 2 guys on the R ticket is they have clean backgrounds, with the possible exception of the dog-on-the-roof thing. But otherwise, no cheating, no philandering, no drug-taking, none of that.
Let’s all demand a closer look at the Magic Negro’s background. Let’s see if there are any spots on his record. If we could just get a look at the record, please.
Who are you writing in? I was thinking about writing in Dwight Eisenhower.
Ross Perot?
There is a small cadre of posters on FR who are dedicated to polluting every election thread with their hateful anti-Romney screeds 24/7 (don't these people have lives outside Free Republic). It definitely gives this place a DU kind of feel.
Most of us are unhappy with Romney as nominee, including myself. Speaking for myself, I was also less than thrilled with John McCain, both Bushes and Bob Dole. I haven't had a GOP nominee I was happy about since 1984 when I was just a young man who was serving in the military and not even married yet.
Personally, I think the method of choosing a nominee is badly flawed. Why do small states like New Hampshire and Iowa have so much influence while conservative powerhouses like Texas don't even get a say (the nomination is usually decided by the time the primaries come to them)?
Maybe we can change the method by which we choose our nominees because it does not seem very conducive to choosing the most conservative nominee.
So until we change things, the fact is we have Mitt Romney at the top of the ticket. I am encouraged by the choice of Paul Ryan. I think Ryan is a "Tea Party" pick much like Sarah Palin was a Tea Party pick by McCain.
The difference this time around is that Paul Ryan is seasoned in Beltway politics and is fully prepared for what is coming his way. In other words, we don't have to worry about Ryan having a "Katie Couric" moment. In fact bubbleheads like Couric might be afraid to take on Ryan because he can run circles around them.
Not to diminish Palin, who would have made a fine VP or President, but she was definitely unprepared for the unbridled hate and undeserved ridicule that was heaped upon her by the mainstream media - who were bound and determined to get their Obama elected at any cost, even at the expense of sacrificing any journalistic integrity they ever had.
Speaking of Palin, even she is onboard with the Paul Ryan pick and that is good enough for me. I am supporting the Romney/Ryan ticket wholeheartedly and voting Tea Party conservative all the way downticket. If we don't turn this country around now and build on our 2010 successes, we probably never will.
Newbie, the only lemmings I see on this site are the blind anti-Romney crowd. Yes, Romney is a liberal, but he is a liberal CAPITALIST! He's is not seeking the socialist Utopia, like our Dear Leader, that has made Europe so economically unstable.
Well said plus if Paul Ryan feels comfortable enough to run with Romney then I can vote for Romney/Ryan. Plus my vote counts, I am in a swing state. America cannot handle 4 more years of Bammy and his crew looting the Treasury to pay off the idiotic and the indolent (Reparations) and open borders + amnesties
This election is about how much you really love your Country. Those “write-ins” and “refuse to votes”, If that is not voting on principle, I dont know what is.
I like Romney more than Obama.
I like Ryan more than Biden.
In this imperfect world, the Romney - Ryan ticket is 80% okay with me and that’s strong. I “like” Obama at 5% simply in the hope nobody snuffs him and Biden takes charge of Hopeless Change.

Ross Perot got us Bill Clinton. Remember that? I do because I was stupid enough to vote for Perot. Never again.
Write in someone else? Why not just pull the lever for Obama and save time.
