Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
Jews don't pray to Christ and call themselves Christian, Muslims do not say in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, Allah be praised and call themselves Christians, Buddhist don't...
Well you see the point.
And that is why they lost the Caucus, because pretty much no matter what they discussed it involved distorting the legitimate Christian faith.
Well, they can believe whatever they want to believe and they’re welcome to it. They’re just not going to post their “hooey” as you call it to FR and try to pass it off as Gospel without criticism. We do have our God-given rights to freedom of religion and freedom of speech in this country. And always will have regardless of the godless communist bastards and hate-filled liberal progressive socialists who are trying to shut it down. This site seeks the truth and stands for freedom. They can call me any name in the book and it won’t thwart me or my efforts. And I’ve been called lots of nasty names.
Boy, you got THAT part right!
"There are those who would assume that with the printing and binding of these sacred records, that would be the end of the prophets. But again we testify to the world that revelation continues and that the vaults and files of the Church contain these revelations which come month to month and day to day. We testify also that there is, since 1830 when The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized, and will continue to be, so long as time shall last, a prophet, recognized of God and his people, who will continue to interpret the mind and will of the Lord.20"

One man’s hooey is another’s revelation.
***Jim, what exactly is the process for bringing on an admin moderator? How did this one slip by the process?
Did you ever apoligize for this lying?
To: Jeff Head
You are correct, Jeff. There was a point during the 2008 primary that Jim did indeed promote a vote for Romney over McCain. You are not mistaken.
For whatever it may be worth now.

Trade secret.
Maybe you need to add a little more special sauce.
Islam is a global religion, and second only to Christianity in size, we should put it first in regards to your requests.
Scientology and Mormonism can go second, if everyone likes how the Muslim embracing works out here.
This particular moderator has done a fantastic job for all the years he’s been with us. Was one of our earliest posters and earliest moderators. We just had a bit of disagreement lately on policy regarding this particular subject.
Oh come on Larry...
Leave the n00bie alone...
almost dying of cancer does not validate Jeff’s opinions and make him better than anyone else...
Several FReepers have had a near death experience with cancer including me...
but that hasnt stopped you from bashing me in the threads in the past...
Welcome to FR Sandy...
Some of us have our manners with us today...
:)
okie dokie
This is certainly a fascinating conversation to watch between the two of you.
Hey, Anti......not sure 100% but I am pretty sure its bad form to call the owner of FR a liar.
The Flying Inmans have noticed the effects of his views on this subject for years. In OUR experience his appeals for "fairness" do not match his past actions in moderating mormon posts.
We do hope he is not reinstated.

Just as side note, please inform us what information posted about Mormonism from Mormon sources is incorrect.
That threat of disapproval, of being called 'bigot', is the 20 pound sledgehammer that the left has used to beat down almost every door of decency in America, for 40 years.
From scouting to churches, the claim that one will be thought badly of by the ones trying to corrupt them and destroy them from within, is used as the hammer of enforcement and conquest.
Mormons are not allowed to have “ecumenical” and “caucus” protections on the Religion Forum.
___________________________________________
Thats because the Mormons were hiding behind that so called “protection” to attack Christianity...
Its not an “ecumenical? when the the Mormoins post articles attacking the Trinity or the fact that the LORD jesus Christ is God...
They were misusing the threads to bash Christians, Catholics and Protestants alike...
We could not defend our Biblical beliefs against the onslaught of hate and bigotry that was thrown at us by the Mormons ...
They were denying us our 1st Amendment rights..
So after being warned several times they lost their privilege...
and rightly so...
I am expecting a “testimony” any moment now, since the facts are being ignored.
Well, I don’t think he was ever that active in moderating the RF forum, especially after the RM took responsibility for it. I was being lobbied to change the policy, which I wouldn’t budge on. And I guess that’s when our “bit of disagreement” became irreconcilable differences. But I’ve always respected and appreciated him and all the other moderators. Always will. All of our moderators take great care to follow established policy. Thanks.
