Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.
But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.
And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.
And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.
That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.
Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.
But I also know that when it comes to conservatism, the Marxist is an absolute Zero. There is Zero chance he will do anything conservative.Well said; I agree.Come election day, if there is no likely alternative, I will go with the one who might be (although unlikely) a conservative president over the one who will always be a Marxist president.
And I would do so not "putting aside" my conservative priciples, but instead trying to meet my conservative principles, for my family, for my country and for future generations yet to be born.
Ratchet, ratchet, ratchet...
You've outted me big time!

Where was the church when it came time to stop the mormon Romney? Lets face the facts, a weak Christendom failed to stop him. Now we are stuck with him. Dont like mormons? Dont want to vote for them? Then kick the church in the bu** and restore a plurality of Americans to conservative christianity.
So allow me to first repeat what I've said on FR dozens of times: When we evaluate candidates, we should consider their...
* voting record,
* present position statements & rampant inconsistency of past position statements,
* social issues' stances,
* character, including spiritual discernment (for example, does he/she at least pray to THE true God?),
* viability,
* scandal-free past,
* worldviews/beliefs -- including other-worldly worldviews, etc.
So, as to your question, I don't know ANYTHING about the Jewish candidate.
Also, I have a few recollections from that previous Heller research -- but because they are not right at my disposal, they are a bit vague:
#1 My understanding back then was that he didn't necessarily have fully "fleshed out" Mormon credentials...at that time, anyway...for example, it's possible that he was -- as of that time -- not a "temple" Mormon...Non-temple Mormons don't necessarily make themselves out to be "gods-in-embryo"...
#2 The other recollection I had didn't have ANYTHING to do with his Mormonism...Since I don't have specific quotes from Nevada people who were sizing up Heller right in front of me, I hesitate sharing anything...other than their political opinion of Heller was not flattering.
So, bottom line...probably by typical Nevada candidate standards...it's possible that Heller is "above average."
As far as a voter recommend, all I can say is that if both have favored abortion in any way, I wouldn't vote for either of them.
Still waiting for you to produce all those posts where you said you said derogatory things about the Kenyan. All I see is Colofornian bashing Mormons for years!

The fact that you would openly and seemingly with glee root for a LIBERAL CULT LEADER who proved his liberalism in MA - no matter the cost of a godless character brings upon a nation under God .... says all I need to know about people like you = you fold like a cheap suitcase because of fear! Cowards and wimps are NOT what made this country great. So it will never be great again.
All blessings come from GOD and never through the godless! If the last 4 years didn't teach you....- you are unteachable!
“Paul Ryan as VP Matches Mitt Romney on Homophobia”
Google that one and see how much of an opponent Mitt is to the gay community.
When you figure out how to vote for Ryan without voting for Romney let me know.
That's interesting, as the Mormon teacher with which I was conversing, did not know that.
As I mentioned, he did admit he could become a god and rule over a planet and have sex with multiple cestial wives.
But when I mentioned that his belief system taught their people to not answer the question that was asked, but answer a different question, he wasn't aware of that deceptive practice.
I offered to email him a link to his official website where the video was of them teaching that, but he declined the offer.
I don't think he wanted me to have his email address.
Or believe what I told him.
Many have been praying for that to occur, but, absent that happening (and I certainly don't foresee any kind of revival happening within the next two months), Christians must rely on others to come alongside and vote with them to win. Attacking and maligning "those others" sure isn't likely to win them over.

LOL! It’s taking me forever to read this, I didn’t see it until this afternoon and I see Colofornian has arrived so the rest of the reading should be really fast since they will post the same ole crap over and over.
You know who could put a stop to all of this? The "owner" of the site.
Why won't he? Because he gets off on it. Q
Dang,should put a picture on the situation,should’nt it?
This Great Country is in peril and Conservatives are reduced to what is being posted on this thread, divided and fighting against ourselves while the real enemy laughs.
This is not directed to either of you in particular but this thread in general.
I'm sorry I even checked in here on this thread, I actually though FR was thoughtful, industrious and can do in it's philosophy but it appears to be nothing more then a bunch of immature little kids sometimes (on these thread anyway).
C’mon folks, we're better than this.
Interesting.
and the erosion is still underway.
and then consider the fact there are MANY who left the GOP in their heart but never on paper - so the GOP still 'claims' them.
If the GOP wants a POS LIBERAL as their 'chosen' - so similar to his opponent - they went SO FAR LEFT yet wants conservative support. It truly shows how demented they are - bow to evil, you get it's warpness/deception.
Very nice post.
