Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

So many posts from self righteous, holier than thou, sophisticated, compromising, “pragmatic” so-called conservatives who have decided to vote for Romney.

They just can’t stand the fact that some on FR will not vote for their lying liberal guy.

Keep up the good fight... your integrity is admirable.

“Reading comprehension would mean repeating something someone said in a fashion that at least resembles the statement. You failed.”

I thought that resembled plagiarism, verses independent critic/ commentary. “Repeating” as an English major? There’s a torch yourself moment. And gee, I’m pretty sure I used quotes when I responded to statements.

I have it right and the voting data proves it.

The religious vote republican, the nonreligious vote democrat.

If you want fiscal conservatism, then you better pray for more Evangelicals, not atheists and social liberals.

Nice try, but you failed again. Plagiarism is claiming ownership of a statement not your own. It’s not giving credit to another who wrote it.

Reading comprehension would mean repeating something someone said in a fashion that at least resembles the statement. You failed.

Get the difference now?

Original Statement. As I said, I will do all in my power to help turn this around, AND THEN as I am bid by the scriptures, I will wait on the arm of the Lord to be revealed.

Your CNN Mis-statement: So am I understanding this correctly- you will rely on your own arm of the flesh to turn this around and then look to God after?

Wow, the similarity in meaning between these two sentences are so great, I don’t know how it got by me. You must be a Reading Comprehension wiz! LOL !!

If you are Christian, then you know the worst thing that could happen to your daughters is to become members of an anti-Christian cult, which is deceivingly similar to Christianity, no matter how clean and well mannered the cult is.

Actually, there are a lot of fiscal conservatives that vote Democrat simply because some loudmouth, pretentious turds attempt to co-opt conservatism in the name of religion, turning Conservatism into something repulsive and unidentifiable. It makes them want to puke and drives them to the only other option. You can hardly blame them for refusing to identify with such hypocrisy.

My vote doesn’t mean squat here in California.

Not commenting on the specific choice of a vote for Romney or Obama here but there is still the consideration of the overall vote count. While it is true that the Electoral College decides who is President, there are increasing moves to give some import to popular election numbers. THis is often based on who wins and whether the popular vote for the other guy is larger than the votes that gave the Electoral College to the winner. So, in a way, a conservative vote in California does matter, if only to counter popular vote win claims.

First of all, when God has something in HIS WORD that is clear direction. And HIS Word is HIS will.

We are to be hearers and doers of His Word. And waiting on The Lord means as a waiter waits - serving and doing while listening for some direction specifically for that person. That does not apply to voting.

This is not the last day of their debates. A spiritual person would know the first day.

I think Jeff is implying - he will do whatever he can and God will reveal if his efforts were good enough - If Romney wins. We are responsible for who we vote for - if there is no Truth in us, we are responsible for that also. God revealed 'all' already and any supposed waiting on The Lord - it would HAVE TO AGREE with His Written Word anyway. And it doesn't apply in this situation anyway.

Christians are well equipped to handle any situation - He didn't leave us powerless or w/a need to know what to do. If one is living their faith, they know almost immediately. A spirit filled Christian has wisdom and discernment and this election was a no brainer.

You didn't have to think and dawdle about it, you just knew! Because you know God/HIS WILL/HIS WORD. Only those who don't would be stumped, or act stumped to appear religious w/'I'm waiting to hear'. Those who embrace evil, are attracted to it and knew immediately, also. I/my spirit is repulsed by it and know the tactics and snares of satan. His Word equips us!

True. But my daughters were raised since babies with the Word. They accepted Christ as their Savior as little ones, and regularly were taught His teachings throughout their lives. I had trust in the Lord that He would keep my daughters from believing false beliefs because they were well-grounded. I couldn’t raise them in a cocoon.

My daughter who had the Mormon girlfriends never was in trouble, always was where she said she’d be, and set her mind on only marrying (and did) a strong Christian man.

They regularly go to church and have Bible studies with young couples.

She, by the way, has been a wonderful Christian example to her Mormon friends and was able to sow seeds in their lives. Not only her, but our family was, because her friends would come to our home too.

And now my daughter continues to pray for her friends. If I kept her away from these girls, they wouldn’t possibly have had any Christianity in their own lives when they were young women.

The social conservative electorate voted republican, the social liberals voted democrat in 2008, so there was no surprise.

You don't get it, social liberals are the ones banding together to vote your money, into their lives.

It takes a social conservative to have the morality to not use the vote to take what he wants from you.

Do you see who is voting conservatively and who is using the vote to take what they want? When you are outnumbered with the vote, you want those voters to be social conservatives, not social liberals.

Your “Catholic” boyfriend was “horrified” that, through the Holy Eucharist, bread and wine is turned into the body and blood of Jesus Christ?

What is your point?

Something about daughters and third parties.

Evidently Mormonism being based on appearing Christian, and converting Christians as their cults goal, doesn’t bother you because your family is immune, too bad about those who succumb each year, not even realizing what they are being drawn into.

So, according to the chart, that would mean the conservatives wouldn’t want to alienate anyone voting socially conservative, such as the Mormons!

My point is, I’d rather have a Mormon who has values akin to God’s in the White House then help Satan’s helper by voting third party.
