In a Saturday morning appearance on the Fox News Channel, Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer reacted to the announcement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s running mate choice, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan.
Krauthammer said that the choice changed the race by shifting it from a referendum on Obama to an idea-driven race powered by the young, “Kennedy-esque” Ryan.
“I think the picture sort of changes the dynamics of the race,” Krauthammer said. “Up until now it was Romney running as the guy who could do a better job — ‘I know how to fix the economy. The other guy is a failure.’ But it was a star-led choice, he’s a better technocrat. When you look at the two there are two things different than Ryan’s presence on the platform. The first is youth. I mean, he’s the future. He has a youthful look. If you like Kennedy-esque boyish enthusiasm and energy.”

On the old FB, I saw Planned Parenthood re-posts with “5 facts” about how horrible Ryan is. Frankly, I didn’t see the problem with four out of five and the fifth was a lie.
The biggest class warfare poster “was hoping for Portman” (like she’d actually vote for a republican) and claims that this choice will turn us into a 3rd World country with a bigger divide between the haves and the have nots. I like to point out that the biggest class warfare poster among my FB “friends” drives a Mercedes, lives on a street where the asking price for a house is about 600K, and sends one of her children to a private school that costs 22K to attend. There is also never a mention of any charity work of any kind other than the school auction.
We have this one chance to save America. This is our one chance, if Obama is re-elected its very hard to reverse Socialism, once the bell is rung its a done deal.

Death Wish for Obama and his chances—The MSM will accuse him of everything they can think of and make up a few things along the way. The American People know what’s what—Obama is finished. Good Choice Mittens! I and getting a good feeling about Romney—He may well turn out to be another Reagan!
I am inspired by this choice- the best choice of the reported ‘short list’- but there is a possible downside. In Ryan’s speech in VA, it is very apparent that he outshines Mitt, which likely is not surprising to most Freepers.
The liberal media is already hacking away at Paul Ryan.

The Ryan attacks didn’t work in 2010, did they? In fact, it was a HISTORIC election. Expect similar results in Nov. 2012.
