Andrea Mitchell loses her voice while reacting to the Paul Ryan speech: "This is a base election. This is not a pick for suburban moms, this is not a pick for women."

Could there be a clearer demonstration of delusion, than the idea that men & women are somehow competing interest groups? Does the lady have a clue as to how any people, any family, got to where they are today, or ever were in the past?

We need to stop letting confused Professors, media pundits, or just plain old fashioned "crack-pots," undermine our society by prattling nonsense. See Women Hostage To Contrived Delusion.

By the way, Ryan is an excellent choice--probably the best of those who had been regularly mentioned--for a variety of reasons.

Actually, the choice of Ryan is a choice for all mothers and prospective mothers who love or expect to love their children and look forward to loving their grandchildren. He is one of the few politicians with a clear understanding of what is at stake for future generations in this election: a fiscal death spiral created by unfunded liabilities and deficit spending under the delusion or pretense of stimulating the economy, or a hope of returning to robust economic expansion and the dream of leaving greater prosperity to future generations.

Ryan is not a choice for women in the mold of "Julia" and Andrea Mitchell who want to suckle at the government's teat all their lives even if it starves their progeny.

Now, can we get Luigi Zingales into Team Romney as an economic advisor? (Chicago school free-marketeer and harsh critic of "crony capitalism" and the turn of the 21st century deformities of corporate governance, whom Sarah Palin quoted approvingly in America by Heart, and whose latest book A Capitalism for the People got rave reviews from The Economist.)

Maybe Romney can name a "shadow cabinet" whom he hopes will stay on and be confirmed by the Senate once he's elected. I'm for Ron Paul at Treasury, John Bolton at State, Luigi Zingales at Commerce, Sarah Palin at Energy (as care-taker until it's shut down with some functions rolled back into Commerce, Newt Gingrich at Education (likewise to oversee shutting it down)

Ah, someone else noticed that obvious slogan. I thought of that listening to the radio while driving to church this morning (no, not a Seventh Day Adventist, Orthodox Christian, but part of such a small community we have to borrow a priest, and without a deacon to assist Orthodox canons prevent a priest from serving two liturgies in one day, so we borrow the priest on Saturday).
