I was out at that rally (front row, too!). Romney was wise not to wear a jacket. With the high-intensity media lights and humidity, it was fairly hot out there. Got to shake hands with both Romney and Ryan and their families. This was the first time I`d ever seen the Ryan family.. a nice wife and two wonderful young kids who seemed a bit overwhelmed by it all. I said to Mrs. Ryan, “NOW the fun begins!” She grinned and said, “Yeah, that`s what I hear!”

After Carville made that stupid remark, while sitting in an air conditioned room, I looked at the weather report in Norfolk....84 degrees, 72% humidity.
He has 3 kids, who are 10, 8, and 7. A girl and 2 boys—Charlie, Liza, and Sam.
I thought Ryan and Romney both gave excellent speeches. What was the atmosphere on the ground? It is sometimes hard to get a real feel watching events on Tv.
