I agree with the West idea. Ryan is okay - he is no Sarah.

Sarah was my first choice, too. But Ryan was #2. The one area in which he’s preferable is the economy, and that seems to be the main theme of this election. Like Sarah, he’s not shy about confronting the president—on anything; and he’s got 14 years’ experience with the federal government that don’t seem to have dulled his distaste for its power and reach.
Which is good. As much as I like her, she was just too easy for the lefties to trash and mock.
