The DNC might (probably will!) double down on the “historical” aspect of having TWO black candidates on the ticket, one being a “conservative” from the Bush administration.

I was thinking about that when I was writing my reply to you. I also thought about the Republican supposedly speaking at the DNC convention. Could that be Powell?
Only, the Black vote is pretty well sewed up. Not as much as 2008, but the vast majority can be relied on, regardless how they feel about the gay issue. So, would he reach out to another ethnic group to shore up that constituency? That's why I mentioned the Hispanics. Then again, he's already courted them with the amnesty decision.
But, I concur. I don't see Hillary as being considered.
