Trayvon Martin Attorney Responds To Zimmerman's "Stand Your Ground" Hearing (DETAILS)

In response to George Zimmerman's legal defense team calling for a motion on a "Stand Your Ground" hearing, Trayvon Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump released the following statement:

"Let it be clear on the record, that we feel confident that the unjustified killing of Trayvon Benjamin Martin should and will be decided by a jury.

Many of the legal architects of the Stand Your Ground law have already opined that it does not apply in this case.

A grown man cannot profile and pursue an unarmed child, shoot him in the heart, and then claim stand your ground. We believe that the killer’s motion will be denied during the Stand Your Ground Hearing, and as justice requires a jury will ultimately decide the fate of a man that killed an innocent child.

There is only one version of this story that represents that Zimmerman was attacked by Trayvon Martin, and that’s Zimmerman’s self-serving version. Everyone will agree that the killer’s credibility is clearly questionable.

Trayvon’s parents do not feel that this is a man that feared for his life the night he shot and killed their child, this is a man whose only fear is spending his life in prison."

And Mr. Crump is correct, Zimmerman is afraid of spending the rest of his life in prison. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

If you don't believe George, you have some ulterior motive. All the relevant facts line up exactly with what George Zimmerman said happened.

If Travon had not tried to kill George Zimmerman, he would still be alive today. I will also say with the same confidence that the sun will rise in the east tomorrow, that Travon would have celebrated his 21st birthday either in prison or the graveyard. The only problem in that is that many innocents would have lost their lives, property, and health to his hand.

And last but not least, Zimmerman is in trouble not for what he did, but who he did it to. You can believe it or not ,but, Zimmerman is being used as an example and to send a message to those who are White or those who the media and members of the lynch Zimmerman mob including those on this forum, whom are perceived to be White, that one does not interfere with or defend one's self when one of Holder's people takes what they consider is rightfully theirs. it matters not if it is one's life, property, or sexual services.

2 people in a row...I have posted in defense of George on every single Zimmerman post here. He has been completely railroaded, should never have been charged.

Thanks, I am OUTRAGED over this case, what worries me the most is that the spotlight seems to have fallen off the case a wee bit, people have moved on to a degree. Sure it will pick up again after more hearings but still.

I was discussing this case on old threads with a couple of people because there seems to be so few updates or even articles. I have the 2 zimmerman sites on my favorites, the Mark Omara one had no updates for ages until just the other day.

Drudge rarely features a article on the case.

I hope this Zimmerman Case will go away after the election. It has already served its purpose of galvanizing the "Black Vote."

Inevitably, Zimmerman will be either cleared at a "trial," or at the very least there will be a badly hung jury. The danger is Holder continuing as AG after an Obama win. In that case, Zimmerman will be federally railroaded on a Civil Rights charge, no matter what happens at the trial. (A replay of the Rodney King disgrace, in which the policeman who saved Rodney King's worthless life went to Federal prison for it, after acquittal in the local courts.)

But also recall that the King Travesty occurred during the presidency of the Arch-RINO, BUSH, père. A display of backbone could have won him his second term. Frankly, I would not expect better from The Mormon Milquetoast for whom I shall be voting.

This is about being able to file civil actions.

Stand your ground hearings are by a “preponderance of the evidence” NOT beyond a reasonable doubt. This judge would either A. be flooding his dockets or B. creating work for his cronies, children who are lawyers, or guaranteeing election donations to his reelection.

This is DECEITFUL BS- A grown man CAN follow anyoen he likes (provided there are no restrainign orders against him) for purposes such as neighboirhood watch ,and a grown man CAN indeed shoot whomever tries to take his life- in a cowardly UNPROVOKED blinsiding attack- The attourney left out the FACT that george was ILLEGALLY ASSAULTED AND THREATENED WITH DEATH as well as being bodily pummelled in such a manner as to cause him to beleive he was abotu to die-
