I believe in small businesses. Theyre the heart and soul of our economy. They create jobs and opportunities for the future.
Washington politicians .... claim they support small businesses, but they avoid talking about a harsh reality: The system is rigged against small business. These owners cant afford armies of lobbyists in D.C., but the big corporations can. Its those armies of lobbyists that create the loopholes and special breaks that let big corporations off the hook for paying taxes. While small businesses are left to pay the bills.
....
When small businesses grow and flourish, we should applaud their success, and the companies should benefit from their hard work and clever ideas. But heres my point: If a business makes it big, the reward shouldnt be the ability to rig the system to stop the next guy.
If a business takes its profits to the Cayman Islands, ships its jobs overseas or finds a loophole to avoid paying its fair share of taxes, then that business now has a leg up over every small business and start up that cant take advantage of those loopholes.
.....
We face a real choice in this country between the Republicans Ive got mine, approach and the belief that, as a nation, we reward success and hard work keeping the playing field level so that everyone with a good idea, a dream of making it big and plenty of determination has a chance to make it.
We must be committed to the American dream, the approach that made us the most prosperous and strongest country in the world and built a future of opportunity for our children and grandchildren.

We all know EW and BHO have the same view - One does not own one's personal wealth/success, 'it' needs to be spread around by our betters. So there is this 'level playing field'.
Here is the question, if EW and Libs like her really want to close the tax loopholes, why don't they try a novel approach: abolish the current tax codes, greatly reduce the IRS and 'armies of lobbyists', and propose a flat tax instead?
However, the solution to that problem is to reduce the size and scope of government and therefore its ability to respond favorably to those with undue influence over it, and the way to accomplish that goal decidedly does not include electing people like Elizabeth Warren.
Actually the point at which a big business can hamstring its smaller competitors comes when it becomes big enough to afford K Street lobbying to bribe corrupt members of Congress into passing special legislation to throw tacks in the rear view mirror. But there are a whole lotta DEMOCRATS tapping THAT cash stream.
LET’S TRIPLE THE INVESTMENT TAX!!!!!
Comrade Warren fails to mention that companies must send lobbyists to keep politicians from targeting them if they don’t pay up. For example, Hillary ranted and raved against “big pharma” until they donated a pot of cash to her campaign fund. Oddly enough, she shut up about them after that.
As another said, the problem is that government has the power to hand out goodies or deal penalties in the first place. Shrink government and stop the payoffs and blackmail.
Hey Bozo, the law is the law.
The law decides what is a "fair share".
Own it.
Princess Running Scared.
Warren's only interest is in keeping the money here for easier looting. When a jackal like her expresses "support for small business", we know what she really means. Like her fellow progressives, she has never seen any business - large or small - that she didn't want to fascisticallly co-opt as an arm of government, complete with installation of a Federally-controlled HR Department to dispense bread and stripes and voting instructions to that unfortunate company's newly unionized workforce.
She will approach with Peace Pipe, while many braves will attack homestead from Left. When you bend over to pick up Peace Pipe, guess where flaming arrow will go.
She like’em wampum too!
Regards to Squanto.
“If a business takes its profits to the Cayman Islands, ships its jobs overseas or finds a loophole to avoid paying its fair share of taxes, then that business now has a leg up over every small business and start up that cant take advantage of those loopholes. “
and the CEO then becomes a jobs czar for the obama administration ala Jeff Immelt/GE....
In addition, the more regulations there are, the more bribery there is.
I, for one, feel confident that Liar Lizzie will now be truthful.
Democrats love to talk about small businesses but they do every thing to destroy them. So, it’s a “false narrative,” as they would say. Same goes for the middle class. They are the biggest destroyers of the middle, yet they talk about how they love the middle class all the time. Commnists always say the opposite of what they do.
Hmmm. No mention of the biggest influence peddlers in the US, non-corporate “corporations” like AFSCME, AFL-CIO, the Teamsters, NEA, groups like that.
I wonder why??
