Not all celebrities are Democrats. It may seem that way sometimes, but there actually are a few Republicans in the entertainment industry. And Mitt Romney scored endorsements from two big-name stars earlier this week.

I’m not happy with the choice that was made by others, namely the rhinos within, but Romney will have a more difficult time with the teaparty than with the defeated rats for the next 4 years. His hand will be forced on many issues only when we have strength in numbers and we eliminate the across the isle option he will attempt to use when it gets hot in the kitchen for him. Our focus should be to hand zero his walking papers, and then turn our eyes and efforts on holding romneys a## to the fire

Why is some retard from Hollywood endorsement so important? For the most part they have no basis in the real world. It is like getting a endorsement from Big Bird.

Agreed. I was taken aback as I have never heard of Goode.

These “principled conservatives” are just as dangerous as the Obama drones. They can’t see past their ideology to view the reality.

I notice you don’t have your state flag up on your page. I always find it curious with FReepers who have utterly blank pages.

"Who in the hell is Virgil Goode?"

A Conservative who talks the talk and walks the walk.

Hey, Rusty, we ain't a "Pimp Socialist Willard" website. We support actual Conservatives here. You have a problem with that, take it up with JimRob. Otherwise maybe you should hit the bricks, pal.

So what? There are millions of those in the US and they are not running for president either, this guy included.

It’s your vote in the end. Might as well vote for Pat Paulsen. Same result.

That is not true. We have not had the convention yet. We have a great opportunity to kick Romney to the curb and put Santorum or Bachmann into the nomination IMMEDIATELY. We cannot be that stupid to keep the liberal Romney as our nominee.

Former Congressman Virgil Goode has far more experience than Willard and has an excellent Conservative record to boot. Willard is just another pathological liar, backstabbing weasel, Socialist and failed one-term Governor with zero credibility.

BTW, the irony of someone called “Reagan Disciple” pimping for someone who loathes Ronald Reagan and publicly repudiated Reagan and his Conservative record isn’t lost.

How do you do that under the rules of the GOP convention?

I’m not “pimping” for anyone. I’ve already acknowledged that Romney cannot be confused/considered a conservative on many issues.

But I also trend in reality. Virgil Goode may be an upstanding conservative and a great guy to boot but he’s not a legitimate candidate for president, no matter how much you may think so or promote any pipe dream that the 2012 convention will be an 1800’s version of when the Whig party died.

We have two choices, Obama or Romney. Those are the facts whether you choose to accept them or not. If Goode or Santorum or Newt were strong enough (and I supported Santorum), they would have taken the nomination. You can’t like the process when you get a candidate you like and eschew the process when you get some you don’t like.

I already know what BO has done and he has said out loud what he intends to do. Enough for me to choose country over party and liberty over tyranny.

Rest on your principles. I’ll go out and attempt to get rid of the tyrant.

...and I know what Willard has done. You can vote for the Socialist if it doesn’t bother your conscience. I will vote for the Conservative Goode, unless the GOP smartens up and dumps Willard this month.

First, I'm not your PAL, OK? Second, who appointed you as the administrator of this website? I've been here on FR a helluva lot longer than you and have seen it deteriorate into to the point opposing views are ridiculed and those who express them are told to "hit the bricks".

"we support actual Conservatives here" So you have the final say on who "we" must support? What arrogance! You, sir, are as bad as those fascists who populate the leftwing blogs...Do you have any clue as to the meaning of "Free" in Free Republic? No, I didn't think so...

I don’t know about that. What do you Willard did, peel away the conservatives from McCain or split the liberal vote?
