It is just after 11:30 on Friday night and Adam Smith has sent an email with a link to his official video response to the all of the events that followed his protest of Wednesdays Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. The clip, nearly eight minutes in length, opens with an apology to Rachel, the woman who was working the window at the drive-thru.

The fellow at your link claims Vante his profession from 2005 to present..."7 years", so the above is current.
51-200 employees? That's a pretty wide spread. Does it reflect early to current work force? If so, why? Why not just state 200 employees and let it go at that? Or, is it a widely fluctuating labor pool based on volume? One wonders...
Amen! I hear you loud and clear. And dittos, Adam Smith apparently thinks Christianity is an ethnicity, not a heartfelt conversion.
51-200 might be a grouping check off type thing.
I read someone’s post that they had sales around the 15 million mark.
Someone here - Senior Buyer - at a fortune 5 company looked up Vante in their lists. They were marked as not to buy from them currently. It would have to be GE.
Absolutely.
At the very beginning of that video he was salivating over the anticipated encounter.
He didn’t *just lose it*
Ohhh, devastating wit!
On the contrary, he IS the CEO and the jerk was under his employ. I think his actions are that of a real man, one who knows how to behave properly and take responsibility. I have a lot of respect for someone like that.
Well now. That's quite an accomplishment. There's got to be a place for him SOMEWHERE in the workforce.
Perhaps we could convince him to work for the DNC?
I hope all people have their ears open. I would like to know where he lands so they can learn about him. I want him to suffer in trying to get a career ever again.

Thanks for the update. I appreciate the fact that Vante was able to recognize inappropriate behavior and make a decisive change when it was necessary.
I doubt that smith will ever recognize what he threw away.
Humanity may not be needed to be CFO of a company, but he should be able to reason. He obviously did not think this all the way through. Apparently he didn’t detect how his joy and anticipation in driving up to the window, smug expression and condescending words would reflect on him.
He was showing us all how superior he is in promoting the redefinition of marriage.
It isn’t his responsibility nor the corporation’s responsibility unless the act was done in course of the employment. Vicarious Liability.
It is nice of him to reach out, though.
I saw that post. It was on a thread a couple days ago when the video went viral. I even made a comment on that thread, or another, that this may well be something Vante really doesn’t need right now.
It may be they deal with a temporary pool above and beyond a permanent base of employees. And not all those employees full time. $15M is not a lot of money. My wife’s chain retail store does that in just over 7 months. Vante is still in the ‘struggling new corporation’ range.
“It is not Vogels responsibility to mend fences”
—
I agree.
That being said Vogel did mend fences by immediately firing Adam Smith for harrassing an employee at another company.
Now would it not have been nice if Joe Paterno had immediately reported to the police that Sandusky was raping little boys?
Quite a difference in how leftist universities handle bad dudes and how a private corporation does it.
He needs to go to re education camp. I suggest 12 weeks of Sunday School
I won’t watch it either. He is sorry that he didn’t turn out to be a hero for his cause. Instead he turned into a goat and got canned for his actions. Couldn’t have happened to a worse gay.
We thought what he did was inappropriate.
I bet Vogel is glad that douchebag is out of the company. It's hard to deal with employees who can hurt a company.
Talk is cheap, deeds are the coin of the realm. He might want to think about asking if he could redeem himself by asking Chick-Fil-A if he could work for them or maybe volunteer at a VA hospital or something. Who knows, might turn the guy into a conservative.
