Ga. businessman hammers Obama over "you didn't built that" (Posts sign: Obama can Kiss My A**!)

President Barack Obama’s statement last month during a campaign stop in Virginia that included the line - “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that” - continues to draw fire and has prompted a Savannah, Ga., lumberyard owner to respond in what he calls “Chicago language” on signs posted outside his three businesses, reports FoxNews.com.

The harsh language has been criticized, but owner Ray Gaster said it was necessary. Gaster said he built the business from the ground up over the past 28 years and without help from the government. "When I heard what he said, I said 'I'm going to give him an answer in Chicago language--something he's used to,'" he told FoxNews.com. "If I would have said 'Dear Mr. President...' there wouldn't have been as strong of a response."

The story of Gaster’s signs, which was posted on the FoxNews.com site Wednesday, was trending early today and had received 13,000 “likes” on Facebook and been tweeted more than 800 times.

Obama said during his stop in Roanoke, Va., “If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Obama's campaign has said that Obama only meant that businesses rely on the community to flourish, FoxNews.com said.

Opponents have jumped on the remarks and used them as a small business rallying cry, the website added.
