My wife came and picked me up for lunch at 1100 (early for lunch, but planning ahead). We got to the Chick-Fil-A off of William Penn Drive in Durham about 1110.

The drive-through line was already wrapped around the entire building, and we had to park about four sections out (technically in the next restaurant's over parking lot - it's all a shared parking area) just to find a place to park. When we got into the store, the place was PACKED OUT. I have never seen this restaurant this busy, even at the height of the lunch rush (~1230). The line with five registers running was still all the way out to the entrance. We stood in line for 5-7 minutes to be able to order.

Yet, even with them taking names for your order to play catch up, they still got our food to us in under five minutes. Tons of people making a political statement, and they STILL operated efficiently and professionally. Kudos to Chick-fil-A!

Lots of Durham city and county personnel taking in the food - Fire-Rescue, prison system personnel, Durham Co. Sheriff, even en entire ten-man Durham PD SET team (like SWAT) - only a fool would have tried to rob that store today! Apparently not everybody in the Durham government apparatus has the same views as the left-wing nuts like the mayor and city council members.

When we left the store at 1145, the line was still out the door, and the line for the drive thru was still wrapped around the building. Traffic was so thick people were having trouble getting out of the parking lot for the press.

Hit the College Dr. location in Baton Rouge around 11:15, Chamber of Commerce was there and it was busy. They were prepared, took about 15 to get our food, grilled chicken sandwich, waffle fries, and a coke. I love me some Chic Fil A!

My husband, some friends and I went through the drive thru around 11:00. Cars were already backing up onto the main road and another line was slowly snaking through the Wal-Mart parking lot.

They had runners outside taking orders. I think employees were already a little frazzled but they were all courteous. Service was quick, despite the crowd, and the food was good.

And the peach shake lives up to its reputation. =D

I met Mr. Mercat and a friend at CFA at 11:20. I was able to eat and leave by 12:15. The wait was long but everyone was very positive and full of cheer. The employees seemed to be having a good time. When I left, the local radio station was reporting a 45 minute wait. The line was wrapped around the building and the cars were backed up three city blocks. Police out directing traffic. Security people there.

I’d like to have visited the one in Irvine (CA), but it’s located in a shopping center that’s next to impossible to get into and out of within my lunch hour on a regular day. I can only imagine what it’s like today.

I’m thinking that what’s needed is a repeat of this on Friday. Isn’t that the day the protesters are supposed to be doing their “kiss-in” nonsense? It’d be a real shame if all the parking spots, booths and tables were already taken when they arrive.

Morgantown, West Virginia -- (the state which surprised everyone in 2000 and pushed George Bush 41 over the top). Morgantown is a college town and the Chick-Fil-A is on the main street next to the north campus, and traffic was backed up on it to drive into the parking lot. The parking lot holds about 120 cars, all filled up and with lots of families with kids, plus 20-25 in the drive-through lane. This was at 1 p.m., AFTER the noon rush, which must have been a zoo.

The line was wrapped around the entire interior perimeter of the restaurant, in air-conditioned comfort. There were even some people outside waiting to get in. This is the only time in my life I've heard people actually happy to have to wait in line because of what it signifies! Also the staff was extremely efficient and food was great, so it was a great day on all accounts. Plus now CFA will have hundreds of thousands of new loyal customers.

just got back with the family and it was amazing.
Three cops to deal with traffic, line wrapped around the building, people were polite, everyone talking in good spirits and laughing.

Line for the drive through went around the building, down the road, and half way into the homo depot parking lot.

AMAZING, now contrast that to a lefty nut protest, with swearing, name calling, hate, bigotry etc.

Greensboro/Browns Summit NC - husband step-son and - arrived about 11:20. Parking lot was full and spilling over into adjacent lots. Drive-thru wrapped around the building and into the adjacent parking lot on one side and was feeding from the access road. Inside our order was placed within 5 minutes and delivered within 10. Very diverse crowd including a lot of young black people. By the time we left the line was snaking around the building and the drive-thru line was zigagging through the adjacent parking lots of 4 businesses. Husband is oblivious couldn’t quite figure it out. Stepson figured it out and commented on the size of the crowd showing their support.

First time trying to post a picture. Just west of Manassas, VA at lunchtime.

Couldn't take the picture until I turned onto the access road. Had to wait about 6 cars.

Son-in-Law went to our local CFA (Philly suburbs) at 3:00, thinking it would be a totally “off” time and no wait. His report was of a very long line at the drive-thru, not packed but still somewhat busy inside. Lots of cashiers and managers helping out, very friendly, fast & excellent service. 4 Sandwiches & fries keeping warm in the oven for dinner tonight :)

1:00PM report from Chick-fil-A at Bell & Grand in Surprise, AZ.

All Chick-fil-A parking spaces full. Overflow into Best Buy parking lot. Line outside the door waiting to get inside. Drive-thru was around the building and snaking through the shopping center parking lot. I counted 42 cars in line. A good feeling to see the support.

It's 97 degrees of Arizona "dry heat".

Here's mine.

I figured there would be a crowd, so I promised myself I would at least stop and get a picture....

I've never seen anything like it! The must have been 50 cars lined up for drive through, and people lined up to go inside clear across a grocery-store sized parking lot. OK, I'm not going in, so get a picture? Well, said parking lot was crammed full, not a parking spot to be had, there were so many people trying to get a Chick Fil A. Obviously an hour's wait to get inside, and it's a humid 104 degrees here in Chandler, AZ.

I knew we had something going, but this is stunning...I had to see it or I would not have believed it.

I went to the Chick-Fil-A on Gulf-to-Bay Blvd in Clearwater, FL, about 3:45 today . . . thinking it would not be crowded then. Wrong. The drive-thru line was all the way around to the other side of the building, the parking lot was full, the lines of people ordering inside were long, and it looked like most of the tables inside were full of people.

I went through the drive thru, and the girl who handed me my order said it had been busy and packed with people all day long.

Good job all. Would still like to see reports from the existing CFAs in NYC, Chicago, and the universities that are protesting them.

Mom just gave me a report about the Dublin Ohio(Sawmill Rd.) location. Someone came in and bought everyone who was in the store their meals. About 200 people.

Once everyone found out, they broke out singing God Bless America. Doesn’t get any better than that.

Line at noon at Frederick MD location was so long we turned around. Came back a few hours later and the drive-through was still packed and there were no parking spaces. Parked at Target and walked over. There must have been over 200 people packed in that little building. They were taking orders and then calling out names when food was ready.

The place was loud but, everyone was polite and we got our food more quickly than the 12 minute wait projection we received.
