How effective is the new ad from the RNC for Mitt Romney? Effective enough that the Washington Post describes it as warm, personal, and down-to-earth. The minute-long spot features Romney speaking of his personal experiences in business, as governor, and as the savior of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Its an overwhelmingly positive ad, but one with a big bite at the end:

Not bad
Well, we’re going to need proof that he cut spending in Massachusetts. I flat don’t believe it. Especially with RomneyCare.
GREAT!
At last this guy acts like he wants to win.
IMO, the Leftist media doesn't know what to make of him. They've seen a lot to like of him in the past. His current presentations must be making them nervous though.
Meant to say:
At least this guy acts like he wants to win.
It is the first ad of Romney’s that I really like. I bet the Obama camp is going nuts about giving Mitt a theme for his campaign. ROFLOL
The new ad with the olympians and athletes speaking up for Romney is really good, too.
That would explain his resume in the private sector, his liberal votes as gov of a liberal state, and his leaving the state with an unemployment rate under 5% and, if the ad is to be believed, a smaller deficit.
I am voting for him hoping he will acknowledge that the country is far more conservative than MA and make adjustments accordingly, while doing whatever possible to get the country back on track economically.
I hope.
On the other hand I know exactly what we'll get with Obama.
I like to see him driving. Makes me wonder: Last car I saw Obama drive was a Volt for about 3 feet. Does Obama know how to drive?
Great analysis!
Gotta think positively. There are no alternatives this election.
I think the leftist media is in for a big surprise. They seemed to want Romney as an opponent (another McCain!) but they might have miscalculated. Romney’s not going to be the “nice guy” pushover they thought he would be. Romney wants to win.
Am in the Reno market area.
Have not seen the ad yet. Will be looking for it.
Bingo.
Romney is head and shoulders above McCain in that regard.
Romney wants this. Very very much.
(which is why, he should run with Palin)
Win the base. Big.
That’s right. I agree. He’s not going to be a pushover.
Hope things are good for you SamAdams76.
