A guy selling tickets to a concert in Dallas is not what most newscasts would deem news. Bruce Springsteen and Toby Keith do twice that much on most any night during the summer.

Of course not, 50 people in front of a Chik-fil-A is much bigger news to them.

You’re right, but seven fat chicks and a goat can make the news if they’re gathering for gay marriage or against guns.

Not exactly. Here's
a link to the top grossing concert tours of all time.
Only one artist (U2) drew an average of 65,000 people. Most other performers averaged 20-30,000 people to a concert.
Thus I would say it is newsworthy that a conservative talk show host/book seller would fill a stadium of 65,000 people.
I would rather go to see Glenn Beck than to see Bono screeching about saving the environment while he drags a quarter million tons of equipment around the country on tour with him, not to mention the private jets and limos.

Bruce Springsteen and Toby Keith do twice that much on most any night during the summer. When's the last time either of them drew those kinds of crowds to do charity projects in hundred degree heat ?

Yeah, VermontLT, but our local paper ignored a big (big for our little burg --- 300) Religious Liberty Rally, but ran a pic and article of "almost a hundred" women in Madrid --- Madrid! ---demonstrating in favor of abortion.
And you could easily gather 100 women in Madrid just by opening a keg of Mahou-San Miguel.

No argument here. I like GB. But what he does is not “news.”. It might be great entertainment. It might move people. But it ain’t news.

Total LameStream media BS.
Any single man that can gather 65,000 folks together and talk about God and Country should be news.
Because it’s NOT a socialist commie and because it’s Beck, the govt owned media ignores it.
Just like they ignore the Chicago murders, it’s an Aurora per month.
He gets things done.

If Obama drew that kind of crowd it would be all over the news for days. They would be trumpeting his popularity and compare him to God...oh yeah they already did that.
I know a lot of people here aren't Beck fans, but I think the man is sincere and I know he loves this country.

I know a lot of people here aren't Beck fans, but I think the man is sincere and I know he loves this country. I agree!
But; being sincere does not mean the same as being correct.
To jump from Catholicism to MORMONism is NOT a good career move!

Well, Springsteen sells out MSG for however many nights he wants.
But we a picking nits.
If GB sold tickets for this—he should buy commercial time. It’s just not news.

Glenn did yoeman’s work educating the country at FNC, but jumped the shark with his bullet-proof vest and security detail at “Restoring Honor” in DC, IMHO.
