Scalia is VERY good.

ABC political round table continues focussing on the “gaffe” comparison - obama vs. Romney. I’m sorry, I just don’t buy that. Dana Loesch agrees with me. LOVE her! Donna Brazile takes on Dana about obama’s comments. Dana responds, roads don’t build businesses, it’s the other way around. lol, perfect.

WaPo commentor says obama’s comments were taken out of context. I read that speech. It was NOT taken out of context.

Maybe you can catch the repeats that are on FNC later on during the day. I know here it’s shown two to three times: noon, four and later in the evening.

There was NO Romney gaffe. Romney caught some problems that the English also caught later on but Romney knew the right questions because of his experience in the same areas. The media will claim it was a gaffe but I have not seen anything that said Romney was wrong.

And yeah, 0bama supports Israel as long as the Palestinians own their country and killing the Jews.

First, I might not especially like Romney but he did not say anything offensive when asked about the state of the Olympic surround (London).

It never ceases to disgust me when lib pundits, today Juan Williams, claim to be restating what a politician has said, and totally lie! (Misconstrue would be the polite word, but I am far beyond polite.)

Romney was ANSWERING a question of Brian Williams. He did not call a presser to criticize the London Olympics.

We all know that the same dncmedia would have criticized him if he had said, "... doing a great job, Brownie..." London cabbies did go on strike on Opening Day - how did that help the city to cope?

Exactly, its the same with Bush 43.When the congress was destroyed in 07 everything went downhill. the congress is truly to blame for the housing debacle not GW.

Good point. I’ve heard the same thing from numerous sources so I believe it’s true.

I live in a town of 14k population. About 10 years ago, Walmart built a new modified super store in a pasture about 4 miles away from their previous location.

Now, that whole section has built up with strip shopping centers, a new high school, a new hospital, several doctor/dentist complexes, a Lowes, etc.

That is how growth happens. None of it was the result of government/FED dictates. The government didn't build it; Walmart did. And the business growth followed.

So I take a picture of my priest talking to some politico or another. I did take lots of pictures and videos, mainly for a Blog post I plan to do.

Everybody was taking pictures and videos, let me make this clear. You couldn’t move without bumping into someone holding a camera/video recorder high so my innocent picture wasn’t unusual or anything.

When I introduced my priest, who I will call Father Sam, to some of the politicos (and there were a bunch, dear Lord, and don’t forget I am campaign finance treasurer for two of the guys so I wanted to give them a push) he was quite jovial. “I’m thinking that most of these politicians are not here for the real issue but are looking for votes,” he said to me and I joshed back in some fashion. Understanding that it was a fun, innocent kind of thing.

I chance to be taking some pictures of the church or some thing and Father Sam shouts to me, clear out of nowhere...”Pat, don’t you dare make this meeting a political function. Don’t you dare.”

He was not kidding when he shouted this to me and once again my head began to spin. As I stated on my earlier post, I had no idea all those politicos would be there though in hindsight I guess it makes sense. Those against Obamacare and its horrific attack on faith would vote for those mostly conservative types. And this was not a function limited to church parishioners; it had been advertised on the local radio (there were TWO reporters there from the local talk show and it was reported on extensively, the whole thing being a big deal in our burg except for the tourists maybe.)

So how on earth, just how on this earth could I possibly turn this huge rally into some kind of political event? I was just so confused that, in shock, I walked away and went up to the edge of Route 1, upset and wondering what I could have possibly done “wrong”.

to be continued, maybe.

I have been searching for some info I read recently which states that small business is responsible for creating 80% of the new jobs. And if they are left out of the tax cuts by the class warfare of the regime its equivalent to killing jobs.

All I can find with the search engines are msnbc crap, wapost stores, nytimes pap,its unbelievable just how biased our search engines are on the web.You get only the lefts view of things.

Most are saying it was blown out of context and actually the American people may understand he was just telling the truth about the concerns of the Olympics. It is likely a gaff that will help get him on the front page than do damage.

Pray for America

After watching Scalia on FNS, I've come to the opinion that he would be a hoot to hang around with. What a sense of humor and you can just see in his eyes the look of a mischievous kid. My favorite justice for sure.

He reminds me of my dear, departed stepfather. He had a wicked sense of humor, and enjoyed sending friendly gibes my way. He did it to toughen me for the outside world, and it worked.

He ran circles around Wallace, and it was fun to watch.

So far I’m impressed wit how Romney is playing the game. The very fact that the DBM has to go to such lengths to get anything at all on him,the olympic comments, really a tempest in a tea pot,and how the DBM overreacted let’s you know he’s doing a good job,IMHO.

I think a lot of this is done on purpose, with the purpose often being to confuse people.

For example, if you are not followers of politics like we are here, what would you think?

Here's what the politically ignorant think:

Politicians: They all lie, they all make gaffes, they all argue about it and therefore, pox on all of them!

Romney needs to stop answering these charges. Just ignore the question and move on to how he's going to rescue the US economy just like he did the Olympics. Meanwhile, let Obama go negative and lose like-ability points with the ignorant.

When Obamanation brings up lies and such, by all means, counter them aggressively and quickly, and then get back on message about the economy.

What's so easy and great about this is that it is true! Obama has screwed over the American economy with massive bailouts to banks, cronyism to unions and greenies, overbearing regulations, making it easier for the takers to take and continued class warfare on the job producers.

Romney will do the opposite, and the economy will soar again!

Re - religious freedom issue

Thngs are pretty hot around central Illinois —including the weather. We had a new pastor come in about a month ago. His first Homily after the first week he basically introduced himself was on the topic of religious freedom and all that’s been going on lately. His final punchline was — “Anybody who votes in this next election without educating themselves on the issues is an idiot”.

The bishop here has made the national news because he’s minced no words in his opposition to the mandates in Obamacare. He’s on the board at Notre Dame, and several of their communist faculty have demanded his removal.

The best part of all this is the letters to the editor in the newspaper. Every morning I can’t wait to read the comments from the morons who live around here - including some of them Catholics. You just can’t make this stuff up.

Unfortunately, 99 of 102 Counties will vote to get rid of this loser, but the Chicago area and Metro St. Louis will put him over the top in Illinois by a wide margin. Afterall - they can’t give up their freebees.

The ‘you didn’t build it’ and Romney/GOP/small business responses must be stinging Obama pretty badly.

Obama Team put out an ad with him complaining that Romney took his words out of context.

You are you going to believe? Big Ears or your lying ears?

Father Sam did climb up to the street’s edge and he did apologize profusely. He said, to the effect, that he must be careful not to look political in this thing and some such. I nodded and was nice and asked what I should not do. He said I should not take pics of him with a politician and I told him I would not.

Later, during that meeting in the Parish Life Center, the married priest went over the matter of Catholicism, religion and politics. He said that churches and politics mixing is not against any law but is part of the IRS code. He then mentioned Al Sharpton and the like.

I bring this up because right now, folks, the Catholic church is a idealogical mess. We’ve got parishioners walking out of masses when the officiating priest speaks of this mess with Obamacare.

Catholics, I dunno, some of them are verbal and loud and some want to just go to church, get communion, and go home, Obamacare be damned. Father Sam, intriguingly enough, is one of the loudest, shouting from that pulpit about our gubmint and its intent to walk all over our faith.

I think he’s great but again, parishioners get up and walk out, fooey on them, cowards.

So I dunno what got into my priest but I will conclude, in a fashion, that Catholics have schizophrenia, the whole concept of coalescing and fighting for its rights being knew.

Father Sam....I think he’s just as confused and somehow, as is often the case, I am in the wrong place at the right time.

Or some such.
