Huma Abedin’s Brotherhood Ties Are Not Just a Family Affair
PJ Media ^ | Andrew McCarthy

Posted on 07/27/2012 11:08:47 AM PDT by Windy City Conservative

The letter averred that Abedin “has three family members — her late father, her mother and her brother — connected to Muslim Brotherhood operatives and/or organizations.” It turns out, however, that Abedin herself is directly connected to Abdullah Omar Naseef, a major Muslim Brotherhood figure involved in the financing of al-Qaeda. Abedin worked for a number of years at the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs as assistant editor of its journal. The IMMA was founded by Naseef, who remained active in it for decades, overlapping for several years with Abedin. Naseef was also secretary general of the Muslim World League in Saudi Arabia, perhaps the most significant Muslim Brotherhood organization in the world. In that connection, he founded the Rabita Trust, which is formally designated as a foreign terrorist organization under American law due to its support of al-Qaeda.

You ought to be able to stop right there....

...The question is not whether the five House conservatives were off-base in asking for an investigation into ties between administration officials and Islamist organizations. The question is why the other 430 members of the House haven’t joined them — and why John McCain, John Boehner, and other Republican establishment luminaries are championing the Muslim Brotherhood’s side of the dispute.

It's interesting how so many conservative blogs and writers have ignored this story.

I wonder when the order will be given for her to reach over in the bed they share and slit Hillary’s throat?

It’s a hot topic.

I keep thinking if GWB had a friend of a relative who worked at Haliburton.... it would be front page 24/7, from then on.

This is some sick stuff going on. So much corruption, it would make a hella of a movie and make big bucks....oh, I forgot.

Anyone remember when they used to say that homosexuals were a security risk, because of their sexual proclivities?

This is fantasy of course, but you take an aging woman who was married to a powerful man who slept around and humiliated her on a regular basis. This woman gains power in her own right. Along comes an agent born of foreign parents who are Muslims and recognises in this powerful woman a sexual need and a wish to humiliate her once powerful husband by sleeping with another woman. She has already had a child by a man other than her husband, and that wasn’t anough to satisfy her revenge. So she takes up with this woman and the womans plan is successful.

Just fantasy of course, it could never happen.

The old saw is, if you pitch a shoe over a fence, the dog that yelps is the dog you hit.

Bachmann calls for an investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s penetration of the government, and the first ones to yelp are McCain and Boehner.

And no one is really surprised.

A person is not required to have done anything wrong to be denied a high-ranking government position, or more immediately, the security clearance allowing access to classified information that is necessary to function in such a job. There simply need be associations, allegiances, or interests that establish a potential conflict of interest.

I presume that Andrew McCarthy thinks that Huma Abedin obtained a security clearance, at least some level thereof. If Huma can qualify for one, anybody and everybody with the appropriate political pull can. This doesn't bode well for national security, I'm afraid. It's probably another disastrous aspect of the Obama administration that has largely gone without much notice from the supposed "opposition" in Washington.

When I was granted my top secret, any little thing, including misdemeanor offenses, stupid pranks or relatives in the wrong country could deny one a clearance.

In the late 1970s, we had a guy in my squadron we were trying to get a TS clearance for ... he was denied because he had relatives in Czechoslovakia.
