For great songs written specifically for movie soundtracks, I've got a special thing for "The Kiss" from Last of the Mohicans and "The Ecstasy of Gold" from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.
For songs from other genres (rock, country, etc.) that made their way into movie soundtracks, I'd add: "Layla" by Derek & The Dominos (from Goodfellas), "Broken Arrow" by Robbie Robertson (from Beyond the Law), and "Nothing I Can Do About It Now" by Willie Nelson (from The Rookie).
Another great song.Did you ever read the bio for Daniel day lewis and how he prepped for that movie?Good read ((((Hugs))))
