Virgil Goode submits 14,000 signatures for ballot, with help from Independent Greens
Virginia Politics ^

Posted on 07/25/2012 6:30:17 PM PDT by mnehring

With a little help from his friends, former congressman Virgil Goode has taken a key step toward getting his name on November’s presidential ballot in Virginia, submitting more than 14,000 signatures to the State Board of Elections....

..Goode was a Democrat for much of his career, then became an Independent and finally a Republican for his last six years on Capitol Hill. Now Goode is getting assistance from yet another party, the Independent Greens, whose members have collected thousands of signatures for him....

...“Virgil supports rail, and that’s our big issue and he’s with us on that,” said Carey Campbell, a member of the Independent Greens executive committee. “We’ve had for many years a good relationship with the Constitution Party folks.”...

Goode is just playing the Perot tactic. All it does is make a goode narcissist get full of himself. Then he takes his marbles and disappears into the night; leaving behind a worn spot in the ground.

Back when Mitt was warning his illegal gardeners that they were breaking the law, Goode was actually voting to secure the border.

“So dictator obama is okey dokey for my 4 innocent little grandchildren according to you. I abhor it. It is no holds barred for the wannabe tyrant with your vision for America.”

It's really quite simple; their guy didn't win the primary (neither did mine), now they're going to have a little fit and help the Marxist win a second term. Seriously, check out their posts; they have more contempt for Romney than Obama! How freakin’ sick is that?

Do you mean Mitt's illegal "omigosh I'm running for the presidency" gardeners?

You are being obtuse.
Allies- like Goode and the Green Party- cooperate, competitors dont.

The Virginia primary was run correctly and legally and I’m offended that you called it a “scam”.
Perhaps you enjoy living in some state where election laws are ignored, I would not.

Rasmussen has Washington State painted a deep dark blue, the darkest blue that he has.

There is no reason for you to vote against your conscience in Washington State.

Instead, you can send a message to the GOP-E that you’re pretty darn tired of their shoving retreads, tired old men, and radical liberals down your throat.

Vote Virgil Goode.

LOL but "This election is about the economy and nothing else"...well unless mitt wants to run his mouth about Chinese domestic policy. Then its heroic.

In all fairness, whatever amount of votes taken from Mittens by Goode, the same will be lost for Obama. Goode is a good candidate( no pun intended), but a non issue imho.

Exactly!

But the important thing is that they are able to have their little fit. So what what...Obama gets a second term, at least these guys showed Romney a thing or two!

The fact that people would take actions to give a known Marxist four more years to complete his destruction on our nation, while at the same time holding more contempt for Romney, is as twisted and sick as it gets. Supreme selfishness! Hey, my desired candidate didn't win either, but at least I can clearly see who our enemy is.

9,809,662 Republicans voted for Romney in all the state primaries, according to Real Clear Politics. I guess these Republicans are all wrong. There is a point here and I am wondering if you catch on.

The only good third party candidate is one that takes votes from Obama.

Perry, Gingrich, and Santorum took Virginia to court over their scam....they are still convinced VA’s system is unconstitutional...and, if I recall correctly...the court didn’t entirely disagree with them, saying among other things that the process was too far along for them to interfere.

So...Perry, Gingrich, and Santorum disagree with you.

They said it was a system clearly designed to prevent candidate’s achieving eligibility for the Virginia ballot. In many places it was called the toughest in the nation.

FWIW, Virgil Goode is a longtime congressman from Virginia, he is a member of the bar in Virginia, a licensed lawyer, and he knew how to beat their little game.

I’m encouraged by his creativity!

“a non issue imho”

I think so too, though his effect in Virginia worries me a little.

I don’t care how many morons were duped into voting for the pathetic piece of trash. I was NEVER going to vote for the moron and I’m still not. PERIOD end of story. If you don’t like it, get rid of me.

BTW I thought he was unbeatable. Maybe you better hope you can get a lot more liberals to vote for him.

And Goode was a democrat, then an independant, THEN a republican, and now the greenies are helping him...

Mayor Bloomburg did the same thing (and NYC ended up with a carbon copy of Hugo Chavez!)
Goode sounds like a reptilian who changes his colors when necessary, but he'll still be nothing but a left wing reptile in the end.

According to people like this, it was the GOP-e that secretly made GOP voters vote for Romney in the State Primaries. The fact is, these selfish pri*ks would be pitching a fit if the same thing was done to their primary favorite had they won the GOP primary. Like many, my choice did not win the primary, but unlike these spoiled brats, many of us are able to see who the real enemy is and take real actions to remove Obama.

They try and make themselves out to be “true conservatives”, but in reality, they are not. To knowingly take actions that help a known Marxist like Obama capture a second term is NOT “conservative.” As Rush says: “I live in Realville.” These anti-Romney types live somewhere else.

But hey, they're going to teach Romney a lesson by gosh!

Given how you trashed all the conservatives to clear a path for Mitt, this is just desserts.
