With a little help from his friends, former congressman Virgil Goode has taken a key step toward getting his name on Novembers presidential ballot in Virginia, submitting more than 14,000 signatures to the State Board of Elections....
..Goode was a Democrat for much of his career, then became an Independent and finally a Republican for his last six years on Capitol Hill. Now Goode is getting assistance from yet another party, the Independent Greens, whose members have collected thousands of signatures for him....
...Virgil supports rail, and thats our big issue and hes with us on that, said Carey Campbell, a member of the Independent Greens executive committee. Weve had for many years a good relationship with the Constitution Party folks....

And what candidate would that be, madam ? The one you claim I “didn’t do enough” to help “get” them the nomination ?
My enemy (and CC’s) is big government leftism, whether it be foisted by the Democrat party in the form of Zero or whether it be foisted by the Republican establishment in the form of Willard. I take it you’re fond of Socialism so long as a fake R like Willard is shoving it down your throat.
Shove your vote up your creek.
Its like smacking a hornet’s nest full of particularly dumb hornets.
Vote for a guy who's not on a single goddamn state ballot. Right.
DJ, is there a conservative running against Senator Corker?
Where's that graphic of Bubba Clintoon exclaiming that all he has to do is switch parties and FReepers will love him ?
Yes, there are two, but they’re desultory opposition. Corker’s huge warchest ($13.4 mil) scared off people from both parties. The Dems may nominate the moonbat actress Park Overall (who played the late Richard Mulligan’s nurse assistant on “Empty Nest”), but she doesn’t even have $5,000 in her coffers (!) Only one Democrat in TN would have the credibility to make a run, and that’s ex-Gov. Bredesen, but I doubt he could win a Senate race at this point, nor would he wish to serve in what will probably be the minority.
I expect Conservatives to target Lamar! in 2014. He’s getting old and has pissed off the base. No one, however, as of yet has floated a specific name. The rest of the House delegation may wait to see if he announces he’s retiring (but I think it’s possible HE thinks he’s going to end up as Majority Leader like Baker & Frist). I last voted for him (only in the general) in 2002. I will never vote for him again (ditto for Corker, who doesn’t need my vote, nor Gov. Haslam, whom I voted against in 2010, and is a Willard disciple — I’m surprised he hasn’t been mentioned as a running mate. I’d love to have our Lt Gov Ramsey replace him).
Don’t ever compare yourself to JimRob. He stated his position clearly and gave us permission to state ours. He doesn’t slam Romney at every opportunity like you and your little band of attention seekers. You’re attempt of trying to divide conservatives so Obama can remain in the White house is back firing and causing us to band together and unite for victory.
JimRob TOLERATES those who state they will vote Republican in November, but don’t take that for tacit approval of Willard or what the GOP has done in this election (and in 2008) in foisting him on us. He didn’t give you snots carte blanche to run roughshod over other members with your vicious attacks and character assassinations of those who refuse to vote in blind lockstep for a slimy Socialist weasel like Willard.
"I don't have to take this kind of abuse!" |
Yeah, in the same way Romney did to Sarah Palin, Newt, and Rick. Because knee capping is the American way.
I think your tinfoil is on a bit too tight. You might want to have it adjusted.
First you compare yourself to JimRob, now you claim to speak for him and threaten to tell on those of us who are being mean to you. You are taking the point for advocating the reelection of President Barack Hussein Obamba for four more years and all the progressives that will be empowered. This is the Premier Conservative Forum in the world. If you think these attacks are vicious, keep up your over the top efforts on advocating for Obama.

Another sheep for Willard.
BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH !
And yet you and your fellow sheep are pimping a Socialist for President on this CONSERVATIVE forum just because he has a meaningless "R" after his name. You ever heard of a thing called irony, Hoss ? In any event, you Willardfanbois are on the wrong website.
But it would cut down on the irony factor...
The logic is solid.
If you run someone you know will be rejected by a large share of your supporters, then it is reasonable to assume you don’t want to win.
So, MC, are you a member of the GOP-E?
Unless your guy is romney, take your pick. Fighting with conservatives who understand the electoral process is, in my opinion, a waste of time. You voted for mccain.........now, you are smart enough to see the damage done by obama and still you fight with those voting for the only candidate with a chance of defeating him. You didn’t work hard enough to get your candidate (fill in candidate name here) elected.
