Hate Tweet: Roseanne Barr Wishes Cancer on Chick-Fil-A Customers
NewsBusters ^ | July 25, 2012 | Tim Graham

ABC's The View honored Roseanne Barr with a guest-host spot on July 19, which shows they probably aren't in the habit of evaluating her sanity based on her Twitter rants. Take her wishing cancer on Chick-Fil-A fans this morning : "anyone who eats S--t Fil-A deserves to get the cancer that is sure to come from eating antibiotic filled tortured chickens 4Christ".

GLBTABCDISNEY hires know antisemites?

My recollection from the last time I considered Barr in the 80's was that she was of "Indian" and Jewish extraction. Being a little unsure, I consulted Wiki and found this:

"The granddaughter of immigrants from Europe and Russia, Barr was the oldest of four children in a working-class Jewish Salt Lake City family..."

I suppose she could be antisemitic after all, but she'd be even more repugnant and in need of some help.

I wish Japan had a Chick-Fil-A so I could patronize the place.

I wish Roseanne Barr would go away. FAR AWAY.

You disagree with their policy of being closed on Sunday?
You disagree with their policy of only contributing to Christian causes?
What is it you disagree with?

Your prior responses read like a riddle.

since when are the religious beliefs of a business owner that he shares in a magazine from his own church, a “policy”?

Chic Fil A has no policies about employment or serving customers of all beliefs or no beliefs

or is it the fact that they are closed on Sunday that you object to?

May Roseanne get fleas from the next carpet she buys from a muslim owned business. Muslims are against gay “marriage” too as she must know

I wouldn’t say that George Soros looks kindly upon Jews.

Barack Obama was reportedly born in America but he was raised in home and academic and political culture that is decidedly anti-American.

I saw another tweet in the news today. A Greek athlete was bounced from the Olympic team due to a stupid tweet.

I had to look it up. Per ESPN:

But it was her attempt at a joke Sunday that got the most attention. Commenting on the widely reported appearance of Nile-virus-carrying mosquitoes in Athens, Papachristou wrote: "With so many Africans in Greece, the West Nile mosquitoes will be getting home food!!!". Her tweet prompted thousands of negative comments that snowballed Wednesday.
A stupid attempt at humor, but not in the same league as Barr's. The real reason they axed her was that she was a supporter of the Golden Dawn party.

Very much not-guilty.

I remember this same sort of thing from my college days, when the Libs were going after Domino’s Pizza because the CEO or President of the company was pro-life.

The boycott effort there backfired big-time iirc. At least on our campus, which saw Domino’s orders increase drastically (unfortunately, at the expense of better pizza places). There was, funny enough, a group of Conservatives that went and formed several student clubs for the express purpose of using their student-government-provided budgets (automatically provided based on membership totals) for holding things like movie and sports nights where Domino’s was ordered.

Things started to get get funny when the campus College Republicans and YAF groups started using portions of their budgets to order Domino’s pizza to be delivered to the meetings of the College Democrats, NOW and NARAL groups. But not so funny when those groups responded by posting members at the various dorm buildings and harassing the delivery guys ...

Chic Fil A does not have a “policy” of contributing “only to Christian causes”

here they do many school fundraisers, support the Girl Scouts with free food at many of our events, gave free food to runners at a charity race, and they give free sandwiches to Navy families on our local base every Thursday for Family Movie night

No caesar salad, but they have a good grilled chicken garden salad, or grilled chicken cool wraps. I bought CFA for the first time in 10 years today. The place was covered up and they have a huge building expansion being built. Try it you might like it!

Rosanne Bar IS a cancer. She is the personification of an ugly conglomeration of angry, aggressive cells that only know how to destroy. What a painfully ignorant person.

Yep. And it shows that ideology trumps all for some. It's their substitute for religion, or religion itself, depending on how you want to frame it.

At six years old, Barr discovered her first public stage by lecturing LDS churches around Utah and even was elected president of a Mormon youth group.

At 16, Barr was hit by a car that left her with a traumatic brain injury. Her behavior changed so radically that she was institutionalized for eight months at Utah State Hospital. In 1970 at age 18, Barr left home by telling her parents she was going to visit a friend in Colorado for two weeks, but never returned.

In 1970, when she was 17, Barr had a child that she placed for adoption; they were later reunited. On February 4, 1974 Barr married Bill Pentland, a motel clerk she met while in Colorado. They had three children: Jessica, Jennifer, and Jake. Pentland and Barr divorced on January 16, 1990. Four days later on January 20, 1990, Barr married fellow comedian Tom Arnold, and became known as Roseanne Arnold during the marriage. Barr had met Arnold in 1983 in Minneapolis where he opened for her stand-up comedy act. In 1988, Barr brought Arnold onto her sitcom, Roseanne, as a writer.

Barr has a lesbian sister, Geraldine Barr, and a gay brother, Ben Barr, both of whom inspired her to introduce gay characters into her sitcom. Barr has stated that she supports gay marriage. Geraldine was also Barr’s manager while performing in comedy clubs and at the start of her sitcom. Geraldine claimed that Arnold tried to dominate Barr “for his own reasons”. After being fired by Roseanne, Geraldine filed a $70.3 million breach of contract lawsuit in Superior Court of Los Angeles County on December 18, 1991. She said Barr promised her half the earnings from the Roseanne show for helping invent the “domestic goddess” character in 1981, serving as “writer, organizer, accountant, bookkeeper and confidante”. Since it was six months past the statute of limitations, the suit was thrown out.

In a 1991 interview with People, Roseanne revealed herself to be an “incest survivor”, accusing both of her parents of physical and sexual abuse, claims which they and Geraldine publicly denied. Melvin Belli, her parents’ lawyer, said that they had passed a lie detector test “with flying colors”. Barr was even part of an incest recovery group, something she said her parents knew about but for which they were “in denial”. On February 14, 2011, Barr and Geraldine appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show where Barr admitted that the word “incest” could have been the wrong word to use and should have waited until her therapy was over before revealing the “darkest time” in her life. She told Oprah, “I was in a very unhappy relationship and I was prescribed numerous psychiatric drugs... to deal with the fact that I had some mental illness... I totally lost touch with reality... (and) I didn’t know what the truth was... I just wanted to drop a bomb on my family”. She added that not everything was “made up”, saying, “Nobody accuses their parents of abusing them without justification”. Geraldine said they did not speak for 12 years, but had recently reconciled.

I believe Rosanne is the perfect guest for “The View”.

Her intelligence and theirs is a perfect blend of brain damaged individuals.

If every brain on “The View” was made of gunpowder they couldn’t get enough to blow their nose.

In fact if they took the brain of every person watching it, they couldn’t blow their nose.
