Obama's Media Begin New Coordinated Attack On Romney With Unnamed 'Anglo-Saxon Heritage' Quote
News Busters ^ | 25 July 2012 | Noel Sheppard

If you haven't heard about an unnamed Mitt Romney adviser discussing America's "Anglo-Saxon heritage" with a British reporter yet, you will.

On Tuesday, Britain's Telegraph published the following:

As the Republican presidential challenger accused Barack Obama of appeasing America's enemies in his first foreign policy speech of the US general election campaign, advisers told The Daily Telegraph that he would abandon Mr Obama’s “Left-wing” coolness towards London.

In remarks that may prompt accusations of racial insensitivity, one suggested that Mr Romney was better placed to understand the depth of ties between the two countries than Mr Obama, whose father was from Africa.

“We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser said of Mr Romney, adding: “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have”.

Notice how none of the advisers including the one quoted were named.

Not surprisingly, this has already gotten the attention of many Obama supporters here at home.

Salon's Joan Walsh wrote Wednesday morning, "In an [sic] stupidly racist gaffe, a Romney advisor tells a British paper his boss better appreciates our former overlord."

Walsh, Salon's editor at large, shouldn't call anyone stupid if she thinks "an" goes before "stupidly."

But she wasn't the only Obama sycophant jumping on this foolishness. Slate did as well, as did the New York Daily News, and New York magazine.

It seems a metaphysical certitude this will be featured all day long on CNN, MSNBC, and the broadcast evening news programs.

Of course, Romney's people are denying the entire story, but that's not going to prevent the President's media from advancing it.

That’s correct, always moving West. There were tribes of Celts all over the place before moving toward Gaul and eventually across to the Isle.

It’s all so convenient for King Barack. Now the media will obsess on this for the rest of the week and ignore talking about his record. They think his record is great, so why they want to avoid bragging it up is beyond me. And next week they will find something else to obsess on.

“What’s wrong with Anglo-Saxon heritage?”

Not a damned thing. Name anything even close that has come out of sub Saharan Africa or the near east. Cannibalism, slavery and Islam.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if these anonymous “advisers” were sent to the UK by obama to pose as Romney people.

Of course it was just fine when Hussein simgled out the black community in saying he “had their back” and they need to have his.

Not true. They were a “Germanic” tribe during the times of the Roman Empire, buy they were not the same people we refer to today as “Germans”... there was a lot more movement and migration in ancient times.

Amen. Or even present-day Detroit, or South Africa, or Haiti.

Not true. They were a “Germanic” tribe during the times of the Roman Empire,

The Angles and Saxons were the Germanic tribes which invaded Great Britain after the fall of the Roman Empire. And they became the dominant groups in what became England. There were also the native Brits who survived the invasions along with descendants of Viking invaders who decided to settle down in GB.

Anglo-Saxon is an accurate term (though very un-PC) to describe the dominant European settlement of what is now the USA, and about 90% of the white population during the revolutionary war were English.

Churchill wrote many soaring lines about the Anglo-Saxon influence in the old and new worlds.

But though a very descriptive term to describe the dominant influences of England and colonial America, Anglo-Saxon would be uber UN-PC these days.

Actually it’s a “Jud(a)o-Christian” Heritage.

In what way? How many Jews were on the Mayflower?

Correct. After the fall of the Roman Empire, the Saxons were under fire from the expanding Frankish tribes. They invaded modern day England to avoid the Franks. At the time, the inhabitants of England were Celtic and some settled Romans. Some of them melted in with the Saxons, but most scattered into Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and even Northern France (most people don’t know this, but the King Arthur story originated in France as a Celtic, anti-Saxon folk hero). Of course there was later influence by the Danes (Vikings) and Normans, though the populace of modern day England remained mostly Saxon. The reference of a people as “the Germans” didn’t come about until the Holy Roman Empire. “The Germans” are more Frankish, or French, genetically than they are Saxon.

I do think an Anglo-Saxon would better understand the relationship between England and America than would a Kenyan reject.

I'm sure that after growing up in Indonesia and spending his first eight or nine years at local madrassas, he embarked on a journey of discovery at the high-priced, leftist private schools in Hawaii. It was there he steeped himself in the wonders of America...her roots and origins. Additional knowledge was found in the "life lessons" taught by Marxist, homosexual poet Frank Marshall Davis.

He attained his present encyclopedic knowledge of our country's anglo/saxon birthright during his extensive tutelage at the knee of Reverend Jeremiah Wright.

But I'm just speculating.
