Quite honestly, I don’t know how this jackass got in though an emergency ESCAPE door.
They are supposed to work one way.
They provide regress but not egress.
That’s an interesting point. From the perspective of a theatre owner, I would not want anyone to gain entry that way because of the potential loss of revenue.
I’m curious if there was a security camera outside the theater (or indoor) at the exit. People have been sneaking into theaters for ages.
Additionally there are often security cameras on the roof pointed at the parking lots to observe those breaking into cars (since the owners are tied up for hours).
my understanding from reading most threads is that someone in the front row got a cell call. He got up and left through the emergency door and blocked it from it closing completely. A few moments later the killer appears.
Question is, why was there no alarm.
I’ve thought about that question.
Perhaps he propped the door open or someone let him in.
It’s a panic door. There is a mechanism on the inside, you set it to “unlock” the outside so that anyone can pull the door open on the outside.
