Thats a very good question, and one that so far ABC News hasnt answered. Brian Ross went to air within hours of the Aurora shooting to tell George Stephanopoulos and the Good Morning America audience on Friday morning that Ross had found something significant about the suspect. ... Jon Stewart wonders aloud what someone has to do to get fired at ABC:

“So what does a guy have to do to get fired at ABC?”
Simply tell the truth about Obama’s policies and actions.
I can’t believe this is the same Jon Stewart!! “can a man get a suspension up in this bitch?!”. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
And he comes off as pro tea party, or pro decency!
Hey, mr. Lieberman, if you began actually being fair and balanced like this, you’d have double the viewers!
And ABC loses any shred of credibility they might have had. Not to apologize for their cruel accusation on air or suspend the schmuck.
When is John Stewart going to be fired for his disgusting anti-Christian bigotry?
Don't watch him, ever. Just read about what he says because he has quite a hold on some feeble-minded college students. Every conservative should stay aware of what this imp has to say, because our young people get their "news" from him.
The left will blame Rush for the Batman movie-shooter, but the media will never tell us that he probably watches Comedy Central instead of talk radio--
Last night Stewarts was also complaining that we should be turning over our Boy Scouts to Sandusky-types as scout leaders...we're homophobes, y'know.
John Stewart was dead on about Fast & Furious as well. He had some stellar material.
And imagining George as a Sandusky type doesn’t take a leap of imagination either. Let’s accuse him on national tv of showering with boys.
What does one have to do to get fired? Become a Republican.
It's thin gruel, but it's more than most of these suckups ever offer.
(a reviewer says) "shows how sites like Gawker, Huffington Post, Drudge, Brietbart, eHow (Demand Media), Daily Kos, Business Insider, and many others have ushered in the return of Yellow Journalism. We now live in an age where the news is manufactured and often based on brazen falsities . . . these sites now drive the news we see in our increasingly bankrupt traditional media (CNN, ABC...)."
The author in an interview said that today's MSM "investigative" journalists sit at their computers looking for stories on their favorite web sites. That is journalism today.. report how your buddies feeeeeeeeeeeel about things.
I am not sure what the reviewer was getting at by including Drudge and Brietbart but I suppose MSM employees do look at those sites too.
Notice Jon DIDN’T condemn trying to associate the Tea Party with terrorists... he even kind of reinforced it, with the “with low taxes...madmen..you do the math” line.
Brian showed his bias and Jon’s doing damage control.
He conceals the real issue (Brian Ross trying to falsely associate the Tea Party with terrorists) by reprimanding Brian for failing to fact check and falsely accusing an innocent guy of mass murder.
People who hear it come away with the idea that Brian Ross was lazy in his reporting, as opposed to the idea that Brian Ross was intentionally trying to demonize the Tea Party.
Yep. When a liberal politician or entertainer (or whatever) gets it right, we ought to give credit where credit is due. Maybe, just maybe, that will encourage them to think more clearly in the future.
Mark Steyn tells an incredible story about Stephanopoulos. It was after the death of Princess Diana.
Stephanopoulos goes up to Prime Minister Tony Blair and says to him, Looks like this is your Oklahoma bombing moment.
Thats how soulless and empty and despicable these people are.
Everything is immediately political. No ounce of empathy to be found anywhere.
I sent an email to OReilly telling him this story, and how disgusted I was in the way he kept defending them.
I still have no love or respect for Jon Stewart. Will say anything for a cheap laugh, but we know what his politics are.
Shaking my smiling head.
I heard that story on the way to work the other day when Mark sub’d for Rush. Not surprising- but shocking.
I’m not suddenly a Stewart fan- but it was a worthy and smart bit- always pleased when there’s a brief moment of intelligence shown on TV.
So what does a guy have to do to get fired at ABC?
Is this a joke?
Any one of a number of things:
Support traditional marriage, support DOMA, disagree with the homosexual agenda or ask that it be removed from our schools, agree with DADT, lower taxes, less regulations, talk about defunding the EPA or restoring the Space Program, ask to enforce immigration laws and close the borders, disagree with Obamacare, agree that the 2nd covers every lawful citizen in America, ask Obama why he granted immunity to the huge fast & furious scandal.
I could go on and on.
Should Liebowitz promise to blow his brains out on live tv I might watch. Anything else - NEVER.
I'll take that...
There are many ways to get fired at ABC. For a start, you honestly report on the facts uncovered by Joe Arpaio about obama releasing a forged birth certificate and speculate about what that might mean, the potential for blackmail, etc. and just follow that trail and see where it takes you and your audience.
The next thing you know...You're outta there!
