Three masked men allegedly broke into a 33-year-old lesbian woman’s home, bound her arms and carved anti-gay slurs into her arms and abdomen.
A vigil was held in support of the woman who was allegedly attacked for her sexual orientation.
A 33-year-old Nebraska woman said three masked intruders tied her up, carved homophobic slurs into her skin and then set her house on fire in a shocking case that police are reportedly classifying as a hate crime.
A spokeswoman for the Lincoln Police Department told CNN on Monday investigators found a derogatory slur used against lesbians spray painted inside her home following the attack early Sunday morning.
The woman, an open homosexual who was not identified in local reports, made her way to a neighbor’s home after her assailants left. She called police around 4 a.m. “I was in shock,” neighbor Linda Rappl told CNN. “She was naked, her hands were tied with zip ties. All I could see was a cut across her forehead and blood running down.”
The woman told police three men wearing ski masks broke into her home and bound her hands, the Omaha World-Herald reported. The men also reportedly used a knife to cut the gay slurs into her skin and then doused her home with gasoline to start the blaze.

Odds are that this is a typical lesbo hoax. I just don’t think people who hate gays would carve a ‘come track us down, we’re anti lesbian’ sign in some dyke. It just makes no sense, why wouldn’t they just just put her in a bag of rocks and throw her in a lake if they hated her that much?
I for one cannot help recalling this similar incident which occurred in May 2012:

I believe the story more if it was three women who had done it to her, it's been my experience that most men who hate gays, actually only hate gay men but are pretty indifferent about Lesbians.
That right there screams hoax.
Why would they bother scratching something into the skin of someone that they were going to burn up? Nobody would ever see it, so what could be the point?

No mention of her being burned. Wouldn't they have dumped the gas on her?
No mention of rape or severe beating, if fact, no mention of anything that she couldn't have done herself!
Yeah, if they put this up on InTrade, I would buy 1000 shares of “hoax”.
Let’s see, 3 “masked attackers” who she can’t identify just happen to decide they want to commit a home invasion and torture crime because she is gay. Yeah, that happens all of the time. Then, they only mutilate their victim on parts of the body that the victim could have easily reached themselves with a knife. Then, the “perps” decide to burn the house, but don’t bother to kill her first. Also, they just happen to have tied her up loosely enough that she can escape the burning house just in the nick of time and stumble over to her neighbors.

Might not be too smart to use an accomplice though, since accomplices tend to talk.
I wonder what was written. Also, was it written backwards from standing in front of a mirror? Where was it written? On her back? Or front?
I remember some celebrity wrote something like ‘good bye’ on his knuckles but it actually said ‘bye good’ when viewed from the front. He is writing from left to right but it would have been viewed from right to left by people in front of him.
I think the investigators already know if this is a hoax and time will tell and truth will out.
There must be an awful lot of self hatred with all of these hoaxes committed by gays in order to get this sort of attention. If it is a hoax, I hope charges are filed and she is made to pay for the cost of the investigation. Andgiven hard time, not just some 5150 weekend stay, she can complete that in her prison ‘curriculum’.
... and the paramedics, nurses and doctors who helped her at BryanLGH Medical Center West in Lincoln, as well as an advocate from Voices of Hope who sat with her.

First thing that I thought.
The more I think about it, the more this story stinks. Sooner or later, the police will release a "Never Mind" statement, very quietly. Nothing will ever be done to those who perpetrated the hoax.
But all people will remember is that a bunch of haters (probably right-wing, and I bet that they voted for Bush) assaulted a poor defenseless lesbian.
And the meme gets furthered just a little bit more.....
The local media report I saw said that the investigation was ongoing and hinted that there was a possibility of a hoax.
Unless it was women who did it.
