Kermit and Miss Piggy won't be chomping down on Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches any longer.
The Jim Henson Company will stop providing toys for the fast food chains kids meals because of Chick-fil-A's anti-gay marriage stance.
Bing: 'Office' star speaks out against Chick-fil-A
On Facebook, the company said that CEO Lisa Henson is a strong supporter of marriage equality and decided to end the relationship with the food-maker. The company behind the Muppets will donate the money it received from Chick-fil-A to the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD).
"The Jim Henson Company has celebrated and embraced diversity and inclusiveness for over fifty years and we have notified Chick-fil-A that we do not wish to partner with them on any future endeavors," the statement reads.
The controversy over Chick-fil-A's views on gay rights came to a head after the the company's president Dan Cathy told the Baptist Press that he was "guilty as charged" when it came to his support for the Biblical definition of marriage as being between a man and a woman.

"We are very much supportive of the family -- the Biblical definition of the family unit," Cathy said. "We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that."
The company has also reportedly donated millions of dollars to anti-gay Christian groups. With over $4 billion in revenue, Chick-fil-A has continued to stress its religious values by refusing, for instance, to open on Sundays.

Frank Oz is the main guy now. He is the voice of Miss Piggy but not Kermit. He was the first to declare himself queer as a 3 dollar bill several years ago.
This would be a fantastic opportunity for them to partner with a company that shares their values and expand both of their market shares.
Bert and Ernie throw a hissy fit?
The Jim Henson Company Does Not Merely Provide Chick-a-fil with toys for the fast food chains kids meals.
They actually sell them.

Jim Henson = $6 million +
So a tiny little company that doesn’t make in a year what Chick a fil earns in a little over 8 hours is going to hurt?
Only getting hurt here is Henson and I guess if they can afford this kind of hit, well then by all means....have at it.
Shoot yourself in the foot.
I don’t believe that one’s open yet. I just had hamburgers at Five Guys and Chick a Fil wasn’t open yet.
That was a week ago though.
I’m going to Chick-Fil-A tonight.
Why does the Jim Henson company still get taxpayer money through the CPB?
The Henson Company can jam it up their Snuffleupagus.
According to Chick-Fil-A’s website, their San Jose store is set to open Aug. 16th. So for now, the plan is to stop in Fairfield for dinner this Friday on my way up to Willows.
My father told me that back in the 70s... and I never watched it after that (I didn’t exactly understand politics at that age though ;))
I hate it when companies that produce children’s products support anti-morality causes.
PING
I went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch today. It was PACKED! Love the spicy chicken sandwich.

At Chick-Fil-A’s nationwide
I have been incensed at the vitriolic assaults on the Chick Fil-A

The Cathy family, let by Chick Fil-A founder Truett Cathy, are a wonderful Christian family who are committed to operating the company with Biblical principles and whose story is the true American success story. Starting at age 46 Truett Cathy built Chick Fil-A into a $4 billion a year enterprise with ...See More
